So here's my dilemma. I bought a bunch of stage star discs of my favourite musicals thinking that they were multiplex like the Grease disc that I bought but it turns out they are not. One disk has all the singers *including the lead* and one discs has NO singers

So I wanted to take the background singers from the 'vocal' disc and insert it into the karaoke version/track. so that I could make a 'duet' version *original karaoke track* and a better 'solo' version *karaoke track with background singers*

I don't have the editing skills or the patience to attempt this myself, but if there is someone who is proficent at editing/mixing audio, I would be willing to pay for their time.

I can't pay a lot because i am on a disability income, I was thinking maybe 8-10 dollars/song but if someone wants to try they can PM me and discuss terms.

I have a bit of mixing experience. Next to impossible to do. No way to truly separate your background singers from the acompanying instruments. So when combinine the two, any instruments on top of one another then get doubled in volume. Would take hours probably to get something even approaching decent to listen to. Not a cheap job. If it was various tracks of vocals and instruments would be fairly easy to do.

now listen to the 'da doo' track. All I want is semour's part, ie the male part removed, and then stuck into the karaoke track, also at that link.

For someone with a bit of skill, it would be relatively easy to replace the male vocal with dead air, keeping the track length the same.

Yup, that requires inversion and remixing the new clip into the destination song.

Star discs (if the ones i'm thinking of) were multiplexed backward, your machine should be able to pull the vocals out. By switching from digital to analog (or the other way around). Usually have to use your remote to do so.
