Because Cueball seemed to get so hyped on the subject, I did a little research:

Here's two of many suppliers that were somewhat more than reliable than most:

On E-bay ( which Cue says doesn't count, but I'm giving it anyway) is Karaoke Korner ( aks sallysells frank).

OFF E-BAY, the best known source would be karaoke surplus.com

I have several others, but my thoughts are that though I was trying to be helpful in giving another source for new music, I got jumped on for it. Our libraries are our fortune, a distant second to our skills, of course.

No one is under any obligation here to give out their sources. I guess I kind of resent the way I was "asked".

I read the thread you are referring to and was surprised how upset it seemed Cue got with you for not giving an answer acceptable to him. I too am looking for a new source for current karaoke....got to be thousands of us!! Anyway, thank you for the information. I appreciate it, since I trust you and a few others on their opinion of decent renditions. I went to karaoke surplus.com and found the domain name to be for sale. Google search didn't fair any better. Help?

I could not get any karaokesurplus.com either. Which brings it back to e-bay as an iffy source. Now I did find karaokecurplus on e-bay, but no KK discs being sold through them.
Found some on e-bay, but nothing as 'current', or stuff that I haven't had for a while yet.

I am wondering if they can not be imported any longer as well...I don't trust any EBAY sellers on this brand due to counterfeits ( they sound like crap)...the originals have quality sound

Let's get one thing straight here.....

Joe had mentioned KK several times as a brand to get for current Pop and Country. He stated it in more than one topic thread. He was then asked by more than one person in this Forum where they could obtain these discs, because we did not see it offered for sale by the usual Vendors that we aree familiar with (and trust).

It's not that the answer was not acceptable to me, it's that Joe did NOT give an answer when several people asked him about where to get KK discs (current 2012 ones). Stating "Various Sources" was not an acceptable answer (IMO). And, we all know how iffy E-Bay and Amazon.com can be (as to the source of who is selling it).

Joe feels that Well, maybe if he wasn't busy playing "Shtoop the Lawyer" with all his word-play back and forth, he might have simply given a straightforward answer instead of his being cryptic about it (ie: "Various Sources") and describing what a counterfeit KK disc might look like.

And then, Joe decides to open a new Topic thread to answer the question, and make a snide remark about me at the same time, instead of just posting the information in the first place.
If he feels that he didn't like the way he was asked, or that "No one is under any obligation here to give out their sources," he should have just continued to ignore the whole thing and not answer at all.

Cue, I didn't mean to pick on you.... but reading about the "where Joe gets KK" stuff... it seemed to me that you got upset. Now, I didn't see the other treads about KK... so maybe you had a right to be upset or frustrated.. I just said it "seemed".No offense intended

and (no offense to Joe here) we still don't know where to get KK... neither of Joe's sources looked promising to me Oh well.. still on the search for good stuff

As for 2012 music- still waiting myself.

As for Cue, who I have met and thought of as a nice guy: Screw off. I owe absolutely no one my music sources. I try to be helpful if I can, but NO ONE is OWED any information. We try to help here because the forum is a place to exchange information, but if one is going to be rude about it, then one deserves nothing. If you don't like the E-bay sites, and karaoke surplus is a dead site, then buy your music elsewhere- not my problem.

On February 3, 2012 the people behind Karaoke Kurrents (EAST COAST KARAOKE &
ENTERTAINMENT CORP.) and many other brands were served a Permanent Injunction and ordered to destroy their unlicensed products.

And those are only the songs owned by the plaintiffs (the same people who basically put Chartbuster out of business with a 1.2 million dollar judgement last August).

Joe's library just became a collector's item.

this is why Cue was so harsh Joe. you are the first to tout "check your sources" "do your research" and pointed out many times ebay and Amazon selling whatever they want. did our research and no one but Ebay and Amazon sell it, it was screaming that something is wrong and looking for something to save it as many people like them.
happens to everyone, say one thing, do another and they get called on it.

And I was so sure they were legit being they are only sold on e-bay!

Looking at it more, it looks more like an unauthorized download site supplying all of those brands & tracks and not so much the actual creators of the music.

just by the amount of brands named, were they selling counterfeits maybe? otherwise it seems everyone was hit. PHM, THM, SC, Pocket Songs, Monster Hits, etc.
Pocket Songs took a major hit, seems they didn't license anything....600+ songs.
