i have a total of over 2600 disc's from that count...... estimate about 500 - 700 dups for sale... i want to sell this complete.

i wanted to offer them here first!

you will get every karaoke disc, VCD & super cdg i own.... no laser discs

ideally i want approx $25,000 or make an offer i will consider it....
@ approx $26000 that's less then $10 a disc and that's not counting all of them.

i have way more invested than $25000 but I will let them all go at that price.
or even make me a reasonable offer and i may consider it.

Mightywhiz, I know how you feel about going out and having fun. All this lawsuit stuff has taken the fun out of doing shows. I too am close to selling my even larger collection (5100 w/ 1000 dupes), but I know that I can get nowhere near $10 for each disc. I wish I could because they would be up for sale today. SC, DK, ZM, and a few others might get 10-20 each, but many others only 1-3 each. Good luck.

oh yeah i forgot to add i have 1 original sc8125 in the original shrink wrap still......

i will also include 2 nice cd disc storage cases..... ok 1's nice the others handle is beat up
the nice one holds 800 + discs and is on wheels....

I too wish you the best. I respect that you have invested a LOT of money over time, but no one, is going to cough up $25k in this environment for discs. The only way you will get close to that is to piece it out in small blocks on eBay.

I am sitting on two separate huge discs purchases, one of which is 1900 discs for $2800 and another that I am waiting on a final inventory for. He is over 2500 discs and selling to me at $1/disc.

For large quantities like yours, it just isn't realistic to expect any one person to buy all of them at once for that large of a sum. It will take a lot more effort and time, but breaking up the discs into small batches and selling in eBay with reasonable reserve amounts will net you the best return.

I have to say Chris, you are a fast learner....

With the fear of being sued successfully becoming less and less likely; I don't think that the pirates will be trading in their hard drives to buy a bunch of discs to duplicate what they already have. With loaded hard drives selling for A THOUSAND OR LESS; not many people will be spending anywhere near what you are looking for. Good luck though.

...Mightywiz, I sincerely wish you the best. I, too, have seriously been debating about selling EVERYTHING (equipment & music library). Have thought about going to some local Commercial Venues and offering them a package deal (basically all of the equipment, music library and 2-months of free hosting and training). I would be very lucky to get around 25% of my total investment of $40K plus back but it's better than nothing and at least I could wash my hands of this back-stabbing industry that some have made of it. Once again, I would like to thank all of those that took advantage of the Honest KJs... that's the PG Version of how I really feel!

we have purchased large libraries of disc for many years and feel the need to advise that, selling as a package your starting price is way too high.......we average around 50 cents per disk with that size library and lots of quality. If you really want to regain some of your investment you are much better off batching them in 10's on ebay and letting the cash trickle in. I hope you decide to stay in the industry but if not I wish you the best of luck selling.

if you decide to go the other route, I would be interested in a dangerous set provided they are the original ones with the black background and flames. I would definately be willing to pay $10/disc for those.

Would also be willing to pay $20 for the TU167V disc

Well, if I was independantly weathly or even had resources close to what you were asking, I would put in an offer for everything, however that just ain't going to happen because in order to win the lottery, you have to play.

I myself am trying to sell my entire collection of discs, I have an interested party who may but it but only on the condition that I fill out my collection in some areas.

that is why i have been buying up discs here and there wherever I can find them. the dangerous set I want is just to replace the ones I currently own, and the Top Tunes disc 167 has 'Crazy Rap' by afroman that is not available anywhere else and happens to be one of the signature songs used by a regular of the person I want to sell to.
