you do not have to provide a CC to be a beta-tester just sign and return the NDA after giving them your email on the DT launch website RedRedKaraoke. Pm me if you need a link to the DT launch site...I don't want to appear to be advertising

Doh!!! I believe an issue was having their site opened in two different windows (and overlooking the 'log in' at the upper right corner ) . Thanks for the heads-up!

I'm looking forward to the first time a singer asks to set up his drum set for his karaoke song.

I don't have a printer, and haven't had much time to go to a friend's house to print it. Digitrax has been hassling me with condescending emails every other day, big turnoff.

...I received an email (well, two of them) a couple of weeks ago. Wasn't sure if I wanted to participate considering all of the lawsuits here and there. Plus, they appeared to be out of the Tenn. area, as with the ole Chartbuster. Cavs lawsuit and now the other lawsuits or complaint filed (Lonman recently posted). Plus some rumors in this thread. Don't know who or what Manufacturer/Company to trust?

I only received 2 e-mails from them... One stated that I never finished submitting their NDA (which I didn't because I decided that the Beta Testing would probably not be of interest to me). The 2nd letter was in response to one that I had sent them (explaining why I felt I wasn't interested), and they just basically said that they understood, and if I change my mind, I could still complete the form. Why would they be doing that to you? What chain of events led up to this? Can you copy some of those e-mails here for us to see?

0nly emails I received from them is the original acceptance with the username/pw. A thank you for testing, one showing what new/fixed features & that was pretty much it.

Seven Emails in 11 days:
"Sorry we missed you... We called on you when you raised your hand, but maybe you didn't hear us. Don't miss out on the chance to see what we're up to in the private beta before we go public."
"A quick reminder... We're anxiously awaiting the return of the NDA you downloaded. " "About that NDA... We've asked you to fill out and return our Non-Disclosure Agreement so we can get you in the front door of our beta launch. Without that legal form, we're kinda stuck here." "Here's a quick fix. Some folks are having a bit of trouble getting their Non-Disclosure Agreement to us so they can participate in the closed beta test. We've made some changes to make it easier to participate. " (received those last three on the same day)
"Haven't gotten your NDA yet... We've asked you to fill out and return our Non-Disclosure Agreement so we can get you in the front door of our beta launch. Without that legal form, we're kinda stuck here. "
"Thanks anyway!: It's cool, we understand. We haven't heard back from you with that NDA, so we're getting the message you don't want to participate. And that's fine - the cutting edge is not everyone's cup of tea"
Not all condescending, but the tone of that last one, and the frequency of them arriving to my inbox was like a desperate ex-girlfriend.

Jees It's just trying to remind you that you signed up on the site to check it out. They sent you an NDA agreement to be a beta tester. They were reminding you that you did need to fill out the NDA and maybe you didn't realize it. Or if you did send it back, they didn't receive and are letting you know. The last one pretty much says ok doke, no prob. They want to get this out with as little bugs and as quickly as possible so they want as many people to be playing with it - I can understand them sending frequent reminders and updates.
Nothing wrong with any of them IMO. Besides, there is an 'unsubscribe' link on every email that you could click on at any time.

Maybe I'm missing it, but like Lonnie said, all that looked like, was a reminder e-mail to submit your NDA (since you either submitted your e-mail address to them, or you were on their mailing list prior). And then the last one was an acknowledgement from them that since you haven't responded, you're probably not interested. I didn't see anything condescending in those e-mails you posted.

And the cheerleading begins..... sigh. Did you miss the part about receiving THREE in one day?

michaeldiapers wrote: And the cheerleading begins..... sigh. Did you miss the part about receiving THREE in one day? I did too and I signed up and replied. Again, there is an unsubscribe link if you don't want anymore. I see nothing more than them wanting to remind you to respond in either a yes or no fashion. No cheerleading here as I probably will not have anything to do with it commercially. The fact is you signed up for future emails. If you don't want them it's your job to click 'unsubscribe'!

michaeldiapers wrote: And the cheerleading begins..... sigh. Did you miss the part about receiving THREE in one day? It's a robot system (or whatever it's properly called). It's programmed to automatically send e-mails. Now, why you got 3 in 1 day, as versus I only got 1, I couldn't say. It's a fluke, and flukes happen. And, as Lonnie stated (twice now), there's an option to have your name/e-mail removed from their list. If it bothers you to receive e-mails that much, then just do that. Now, as for your reference to cheerleading.... What are you babbling about? This isn't some old (apparently never-ending) argument about SC's Audits and SC's business practices (whatever that might be). All I said was, I did NOT see anything condescending in the e-mails you presented. I further stated that maybe I was missing something (since I didn't see it). I did NOT say anything about whether I am FOR or AGAINST Beta-Testing with DT (all I said was that it is not of interest to me). I did NOT say anything about their product (whatever that might be) being a Good Thing or a Bad Thing.

Understanding how technology works does not make you a "Cheerleader".

I can unsubscribe? Thanks Captain Obvious. I am interested in the technology, just too busy to jump through hoops at the moment. Running 9 shows a week plus my day job & child. I think the frequency of the emails, plus the tone of the last one is simply unprofessional. Perhaps in your part of the country that is the norm, in which case I sympathize with your singers.
