I don't think their format would work anywhere but on the strip in New Orleans. A Singer, then the host sings a song with a music video, then a singer , then the other host ..repeat. This would die in any neighborhood bar in the country.

Due to a variety of singers' ages and genre categories, I could probably get by with 2,000 unique/hand-picked K-Tracks. It varies for me (mostly private parties) but 500 of those most requested would definitely get more played than the other 1500. Just nice to have a good variety by having more.

The question is, which 500 songs could we all do a good show with? It seems to vary quite a bit. I'd really like to see a list of 500 or 1,000 of the most sung and most requested and most popular songs. I just spent a lot of money buying way more than 500 songs-Chartbuster was around 5,000 songs, Stellar was roughly another 3,000 songs. I probably have near 20,000 songs now and I bet I will get people asking for songs that I don't have.

Even if you happened to have EVERYTHING ever produced in a karaoke format including an instrumental track with no words - you will ALWAYS have someone ask for something you don't have. Usually because those tracks aren't available in any karaoke format. But having everything ever produced is never going to be an option simply due to OOP discs, out of business manus, foreign releases, etc. It's not cost effective to even try. So you get what you can as people ask for them depending on availability and whether it would be worth it.

No need for kiosks, etc.

I could get by with just one song -- Tequila. Anyone can sing it, and it's a funky dance song as well. No need for anything else!
