The DK 1-99, and the DK Millenium discs? (Not the scdgs) I just picked up 110 DK Millenium discs for $225. It's got DKG 1101 through DKG 3100. Did I make out, or is it just ..."MEH".

1-99 discs sold individually up until i'd say 96-97 (or so). They were mixed with many different genres per disc often. After the 99 discs were released, they decided to divide the music into specific genre/artist discs grouping similar songs or artists to separate discs renamed Applause, Encore & Premier series - using most of what they still had licensing for from the original 99. I believe they did release SOME new stuff on these series but it was short lived (and I may be wrong). But these were still individual discs sold separately.

In 2000 they created the full package release of the Millenium - it contained everything that was still available from the 3 new series in one package release - like the SC Foundation. Something like around 1500 songs total if I recall. It does not contain everything released from the 1-99 discs, it contains MOST of what was released on the 1-99 discs.

The Millennium set has 115 discs with 15 songs per disc, total of 1725 titles. Of those, about 80% are from the original 1-99 series, the rest are new titles. One of my favorite discs from that set is DKP1110 (The Moody Who?). It has 7 Moody Blues titles rather than just "Nights in White Satin" like the original set.

Did they not renumber the discs? The DKP is a Premeir disc. I bought it separately before Millenium was out.

No they didn't do any renaming. I had also gotten a number of the discs before I got my Millennium set and the numbering is the same. All they did was put all three sub sets in the same package and sell them as a complete package, they are still listed as Encore, Applause and Premier. It's the book companies that have basically renumbered them not DK.
