Might be nice for some single shows, I wouldn't want one set up all the time - especally behind a singer, would get hard for people to watch. And kind of pricey, sure one could build something similar alot cheaper.

Behind the DJ/KJ only I could totally go along with. I know I have the space behind me, but not many kj's actually have that kind of extra room.

from alot of karaOKE iVE SEEN ITS MOSTLY THE KJ SHOWS UP AND PLAYS THE SONGS....honestly I find that rather boring to be honest... What about backdrops...special effect...fog...bubbles....snow...confetti..ect...costumes ect. Visual aspect of a show is just as important..but I also understand that after people start getting drunk..noones going to care anyway...but you never know

GeminiMALE4o over the years we have used lighting, special effects ect on and off. We learned the hard way not to use fog/smoke (some singers HATE the bug juice) or bubbles (have someone slip once and you will never use them again either). would never use confetti or snow as our venues would be pissed about the extra clean up. We have not been using special lighting in the last few years because we were not making enough to maintain a good light show and the extra set up was a pain. Recently we have started purchasing some of the newer, smaller, self contained lighting systems and have been having a lot of fun with them....this light looks very fun and easy to install on small hooks using the grommets.....cant wait to get one

I will never EVER buy from them again. They totally screwed me on a 89 day old laser. They join the Best Buy/karaokewarehouse list. BOOYAH!

I have three of the ADJ micro series laser lights - a Micro-Galaxian, a Micro-Gobo, and a 3-D, and change their positioning from show to show. The micro-galaxian, when projected behind the host gives a similar effect as the light curtain.
In order to provide variety, one week I may point the 3-D to the ceiling, the next week to the floor... same with the other two.

What i found that works best for us while hosting karaoke is stage presence. Meaning we work very hard to continually make the stage feel as if it were a live band up there. To do this, 90% OF the time we use led par lighting etc. No fog, no bubbles (VERY slippery) no lasers. We do bring out lasers and fog for special events (haloween, st.patties day etc.)and but its just to much work for the money. IMO focus on making the singers sound and feel their best!
