I figured this way:
Purchase your downloads and go to work – then forget about it.
You would think that a manufacturer who believes that such downloads are illegal, would then go directly after the supplier of the downloads with a lawsuit for unfair business practices and unfair competition. If they believe it to be so illegal, then they should stop the source of the downloads – not the destination.
If the manufacturer's want to police somebody – let them police themselves. That's where the problem starts anyway. KJ's don't make the tracks, discs or files to download. They originate with the manufacturer – and if those tracks are not licensed for that delivery method, that would be a problem that they should be willing to deal with – and deal with swiftly.
When was the last time you heard of a manufacturer suing another manufacturer? How many years ago was the Sybersound suit?
