I didn't think this song would get done much. I was wrong. I wish I have a video camera with me to record the 9 year old who nailed it while doing the dance

Other than the dance, this is not "new" music. It sounds very much like Techno from the 80s.

I know that I won't EVER be singing it. Not even on a bet.

Request for this song started to pick up after I listed it in my book as “solo” or “multiplex, with vocal help”. Most instances they opt for vocal help - hilarious to hear the nonsensical mimicking pronunciation, me included.

Funny how they ask me all the time to sing it. Looking asian is probably the giveaway.

Had it done about a half-dozen times now... it really revs up the show... kinda like it is this year's Party Rock Anthem.

Party Rock hardly got done either. Had a couple people that would sing it.
Sexy & I know It is one that still gets done.

Usually the desperate lonely guys looking for attention that sing "Party Rock Anthem" or "Sexy & I Know It" and they dance it out and try to hype the crowds. Fails 75% of the time, especially when they start cursing at people for not joining in, lol!

Gangnam Style works for the asian guest well. i bought the multiplex version and havent turned off the vocals once yet. People respond WELL most of the time, and get up and dance around the floor like drunk cowboys and cowgirls lasso-ing (sp?) each other! :)

One guy does it at my shows - brilliantly! Using a combination of confidence and talking gibberish.

Yeah, i saw that, and immediately looked up U can't touch this.... both songs are at 133 beats per minute. '2 legit' is at 124... too slow for a good live mix.

Soo, the next dance break I mashed that up... the place went crazy, when during the second crescendo, instead of 'gangnam style' they got, 'hammer time!' on the beat! lol. Then, after about a minute of that, I switched to 'sexy and I know it' and then ended the set with the last 30 seconds of Gangnum style.

The place went crazy.... and my next singer up did 'sexy back' and nailed it.

Great night!

Someone does it every night at my gigs. Saturday night a gal asked if I could just play the song so they could dance. I said "why dont you just sing it? She said "I don't know Korean". I replied "Nobody here knows Korean. Just fake it...and OWN it."

She did an awesome job, the whole crowd danced while she sang, and later several people commented that they had no idea she spoke fluent Korean.

Hey someone sang it last night. Really surprised more people do not attempt this one, around 10 people on the dance floor & everyone in their seats doing the 'dance'.

The kids in my Youth Foundation enrichment classes asked to sing it yesterday. I told them it was in Korean and they all tried to sing/read along anyway! They do know the dance though....

There's a karaoke version of Gangnam Style? Didn't see it on kjpro (though I don't know how often that site updates). :)

Must find that disc!
