...I guess I'm just amazed at how much lower they keep dropping. Sure, some of the music is older but SOME of these tracks/discs are still being used today. It's just really wild how much the prices keep dropping and some of these are Major Manufacturers of the past. Fair to Good quality.

I agree. Those songs are still being requested & played - songs released by sc & dks during their early years. Those songs were actually a “must have titles” for our library. Songs from the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s.

Doesn't matter how old a song is, if it's still desireable to sing, then that is what is popular. Most of the music I get done are from the 70's to early 2000's - with a handful of current tunes thrown in. If it weren't for the 'older' or stagnant libraries as some like to put it, I probably would be out of business.

Beware "The Boomers Cometh", and those old songs are what they will want to hear, and sing. That is..... if they have any money left to retire on after years of extremely low interest rates (CD's, savings accts, etc).

It is amazing how cheap purchasing CDG discs has become. Lon bought and entire Velvet Elvis set for under $50. I have purchased thousands of cd's for pennies on the dollar over the last 5 years. We are all aware that a physical disc will soon be hard to come by for the sale of new music, but there is still quite a large inventory of discs containing older music.The price of that old music will continue come as demand diminishes, until it is all gone. That old music will become valuable again someday.

...I don't disagree about the use of the older music (that of the 70's thru 2000's), that's where most of us play from with the exception of the occasional new tracks . It's just the freakin' low prices. I'm not complaining at all, just amazed, in AUH!!!

...Well, I had never seen that Memorex CDG Brand, myself (cough, cough). In all honesty, I couldn't focus in enough to tell but did believe they were homemade burns. Glad you reported them! Thanks!

What happens, when we Boomers, are doing our karaoke in the clouds, or in the warmer climate amoung the perpetual flames?.......will our music die along with us?....can the newer generations even sustain karaoke, seeing their interests seem change so often?....

Actually, the guy is a double-dip moron, now that I think about it.

Years ago I was being called names on the forums for predicting that public MP3 use would cause a complete explosion in piracy. We all know what happened...

Anyway, this guywants to sell almost a thousand burned discs for somewhere between $1,000 - $1500. Think about it. That's somewhere around 15-20K tracks, right?
( BTW- I might have been looking at a different ad- the discs I saw had no labels at all- six binders full...).
Assuming that the buyer doesn't care if he's legal or not, why would he pay that much for 15-20K tracks when he can go on Craigslist or some other sales site and get an HD with 100K equally pirate songs for a couple of hundred bucks?

The only one dumber than the seller would be a buyer.

This is precisely why disc piracy was so much less prevalent than the current style.. One would have to buy blanks ( no need for MP3s) and spend a zillion hours burning them instead of a short time copying an HD.

...Please understand I am kidding. On a side note, I did remember memorex making some Karaoke music because I got some floppy discs (think it was floppy discs) in a Music CD Lot order a couple of years ago.

not that it makes me happy, but for most of the past karaoke manufactered, nobody gives a sh!t, and only a hand full of people, representing a few manus, are trying to do something about it. I predict nobody giving a rat's a$$ about it in the near future.......

Oh yes, Memorex made something like ten discs- or I should say sub-contracted them. The MXUPH and MXFPH series were definitely made by Stellar, and I THINK the MXCH were made by Chartbuster. I'm also not sure, but believe the ME series was made by Essential.
