That one uses the same music track I have on All Hits where they actually sampled the beginning of the original music (the bell & guitar track with cymbal hits) then put in their own synthesized tracks where the drums and full band come in approx 1 minute into the song making it go from a nice full sounding guitar riff to a guitar sound that sounds like it comes from a cheap digital footpedal plugged directly into a tape recorder and smooth cymbal sounds to an obvious drum machine. The SC version actually sound closer to the original all the way through but it just doesn't get done enough to warrant a replacement at this point. Karaoke-Version is another decent sounding version of this one. If this song got done more, i'd most likely upgrade to a better version.

You are right, SC's version of Hells Bells IS really good, ad is Thunderstruck, Stiff Upper Lip and Dirty Deeds.

For Turn The Page I actually prefer the Dangerous version over all others. PBTDBL - I like the All Hits because it allows the singer to do the play by play (do not have the SGB to compare if it's the same musically but SGB usually coincided with All Hits for most of their tracks). That Backstage Steve Miller is the same disc as Sound Images, that one I had bought back when it came out in 93 or 94 and couldn't use it, BS eventually took over the label. They had a pretty unuseable Chicago disc too.

I can do old school Brian Johnson pretty well when I am in good shape. I do Thunderstruck, on occasion. I sing it more like he would have in 1985, rather than in 1990. It is a shame what has become of his voice. Watching him sing is almost painful. The way he crushes his head to his chest, I don't know how he even gets anything out of his mouth.

WOW! I survived "The End Of The World" and all I got was to read this somewhat un-cuddly thread... Other than what I'm reading here from many posters, I hope all are healthy and well this season along with loved ones and friends, are pulling in some good private events, and have time to enjoy the company of those they care about. Stuff that's truly worth being emotional about. "Don't worry- be happy"- um...Bobby McFarrin? (sp?)

My apologies to the op for following-up the off-topic lead. Hey now, whatever happened to “Peace on earth & goodwill toward men?” Christmas is supposed to be time of harmony, but reading this thread seems like it’s a distant grasp & isn’t going to happen anytime soon. Since it’s the season to be jolly, let’s take a break from bickering for couple of weeks, then at start of the New Year, let’s carry on business as usual and resume the normal tear down the other guy & rip him a new a**hole. Likewise, do the same to the other! Meanwhile, rest ye merry gentlemen & give peace a chance for the time being! Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas & a bright prosperous New Year!
