Is anybody actually working on this? Compuhost told me in an email last year that THEY acquired the rights to the KJMP - not Digitraxx. While I love the concept of the KJMP, I am afraid that all of those that did buy it had better bend over and grab their ankles, smile and except the fact that you have been f%&#@ed ... and I don't think Compuhost cares 'cause it really isn't their problem. The entity that screwed you over is no longer. .......and the love for the (former) industry leaders continues to grow. ....And keep in mind the next time you ask Gretchen a question that she was the one here posting that all was well with said dead entity. No personal knock, but her posts are simply party line- and her job.

Alright before this starts to get nasty let me explain to you what I do know....
DigiTrax has acquired licenses for Digital delivery. If we were to put music on any type of fixed media (CD+Gs, SD cards, Hard Drives) there would be a different license as well as different fees. The licensing game is very touchy. We are working hand in hand with the publishers, we do not want to do anything to rock the boat.
Now back to the KJMP, there are locked songs. We only have licenses for about 5,000 songs that are on there. If we were to simply just pick up the KJMP there would be a chance that we would be selling unlicensed material. Also there is the "fixing fee" that I was explaining before. Our licenses do not cover material on fixed media.
That said, we are trying to find a resolution for this. There are several different options that are up for discussion at this time. I do not want to go into further detail on this only because I do not want people to get the wrong assumptions.
I assure you that as SOON as I hear more I will pass it on.

It's not like we were ripped off...just let down. Unless someone forgot to download their credits, KJMP users didn't lose any money. The initial cost of the drive itself was the same for a blank external USB at the time (which you could re-purpose as such if you wanted to) and I did get the songs that I bought credits for. I am more disappointed that this great delivery system is going to waste and the parties involved are silent more than anything. I see the email response from Compuhost above and wonder why we are just now hearing this? A responsible company would put up a page on their site EXPLAINING THOSE THINGS instead of hoping it goes away and only responding when angry users besiege them with emails many months later. gretchen wrote: I assure you that as SOON as I hear more I will pass it on. Thank you Gretchen. It appears at least ONE of the parties is at least making an attempt to keep their customers in the loop instead of twisting in the wind.

Even though it cost significantly more, I am very happy I purchased the 12000+ drives instead of KJMP.

-Chris I fail to see where you gained anything over us KJMP purchasers by getting the 12000 plus. As Bazza stated, we aren't out anything. I'm hanging in the balance to see what happens but I got one hell of a deal on my credits, overall I paid $650 (not counting the cost of the drive) and I will be getting about 1250 unique songs. I can be choosy. Since I already had many CB songs, and there are many more I don't want, the 12,000 wasn't going to get me more for my money, just because I get a deal of 5000 different spice for my kitchen for $4000 doesn't make it a better deal than buying 20 for $100. The rest will sit on my shelf and gather dust. So though I'm frustrated with the whole situation now, I'm hoping for the best and do know that I haven't purchased a lemon. I will put my faith in the folks at invision and here's digitrax chance to shine!

For me it all comes down to not having to wonder *IF* things will get rolling again. Like I said, I paid a LOT more, and probably for a lot of tracks that may never get played, but all of them are my tracks. I don't have to wonder about credits or if I will ever be able to unlock tracks be cause I have access to all of them.
I am not chastising people or questioning anyone's choice, just noting that I am happy with the choice I made and it seems more cut and dry.

-Chris Not offended at all. If I had it to do all over, I'd do it again. Well just to clarify because it appears you don't understand, I can unlock songs now, over 1100 of them as a matter of fact. I do have access to all the songs and can unlock them. All told I already probably have 4000 CB songs once I unlock all that I can (and NONE of those will be dupes), why would I want to spend 3 or 4 thousand bucks on songs I know I will never use half of OR more? To me,,,,, that just doesn't make financial sense, but then that is me and to each his own. I would prefer to unlock them at the show based off a request but I can't do that unless I go back to using my back up laptop, which is an option. Or unlock at home. THAT is my only problem with the KJMP currently and the fact that my computer could crash that the credits are on and then I'm out the credits. There lies the lack of peace of mind. The "if" is, this is the method I prefer to buy my music from in the future. I wish to not buy cdgs anymore (although I'm sure I will buy a few here and there). I don't care to "rent" my songs, unless the cost makes sense (as I've mentioned a few times I would be interested at $.30 per song on a "per song" basis). SO IF the KJMP gets going again, I can buy more credits if I ever need them, and I will be able to buy other manus songs from the drive. Cut and dry is better than wondering I will give you that,,, BUT more so if it is "I wonder if I will get free health care vs. knowing I will get free heath care." When the "cut and dry" is about one thing and the "wonder" is another, then it becomes very subjective. To me, the 12,000 package and the KJMP are two very different things, one has no extra inventory and the other does so and costs MUCH more. So I will stick with my 20 spices and much lower cost freeing up my money to buy things I will use vs 5000 spices that I know the majority will never be used and only take up space and leave me with less money to spend. And the bonus for me is that I know this thing will get going again, with other manus involved. Sometimes patience is a virtue but it doesn't mean I can't wonder what the progress is.

-Chris I am confused as well. All of the songs credits I purchased and used to unlock songs are my songs too. "Mine all mine". I just cant purchase any more credits at the moment (I have 4 left. Unlocked another request last night). I can still get those songs ala-carte from one of the many other services. It's just more of a hassle instead of a 5 second unlock during a show which was VERY nice.
