Evidently they are adding Emerald #3 and Sapphire #7 & 8.
Curious to see the song lists...

ARE THEY GOING TO BE "NEW" SONGS, OR JUST MORE STUFF FROM OLD DISCS THAT HAVE BEEN RE-PACKAGED?

Another nugget for thought: Will any of the songs be any of the ones named in the EMI suit as alleged infringements, as some in the CURRENT GEMs are???

The real question is- will any of the tracks be of new songs, or the same 5-6 year old stuff that everyone already has?

They are NOT new Releases. Just Tracks from the Already Existing Sound Choice Library. Some Of Which Have Been Requested By KJ's Over The Last Few Months.

Would it really matter if these are songs people are asking for over new songs? It would, due to the age of the music. Chances are that if people wanted to sing it, the KJ already has it. CUE: Thank you for pointing out my error- I simply missed Bruce's post. I give him full credit for asking the question first......

I don't think age of music has anything to do with anything, if it's stuff that KJ's are asking to be released in an additional set, then obviously they do not have it and want it otherwise they wouldn't have asked for them in the first place which means their singers are asking for these songs for the kj's to be asking for them. Don't assume the kj already has it either, just because it's an older song agan doesn't mean anything. I'm ALWAYS amazed from comments of people (even from many here) at the songs they say they score for 'new' songs to add to their book that i've had for years because they are so old or they plain don't have at all. But maybe they were on discs that are hard to come by or what not, I don't know.

At the time we started just a few years ago, a lot of the songs people had collected for years weren't readily available to us. Foundation II was off the market for a bit and the Clark Music site wasn't operating for a certain period. Yet we would get requests for these older songs that were considered to be staples in other people's libraries. So it is possible there have been requests for some "bring backs." But I was under the impression that some new material might be released too?

It was stated that they were going to release some 'newer' stuff, no longer on cdg and only to licensed GEM & Certified users.

I read that as stuff that has been put out already but is no longer available on disc. "Newer" does not equate to product unproduced before. However, I guess we'll know in a week, assuming they do what they say they are doing. The next question would be: Where are the new GEMS being produced?

Just for the record, your "next" question was actually the FIRST question in this thread, minus my sarcastic guesstimate...

I fully expect him and Lone Ranger to come on here in a couple of months, after SC releases some truly new material, and in their best "Baghdad Bob" impersonations, explaining why it isn't really a sign that our project is working, that SC is a dead or dying company, etc. Then when the next disc comes out, we'll here how the quality isn't really as good, or some other excuse.

I seem to recall similar promises last year and then APS and Donna Boris ripped you off and you had to delay new product. I'm wondering like Joe will it truly be new material or just old material you managed to renew your licensing on? If the theft of $200,000.00 leaves you with not enough capital to resume production it does make one wonder just how thin you are spread as a company. The disc come out, really I thought you at least would have a more modern delivery system for your new product. I know one host that won't be buying. Have a blessed day.
