Yeah. Those weather people really blew it with Hurricane Sandy, right? Do you have any idea how many people would have lost their lives if they weren't evacuated before the storm? .....And you think losing a night of karaoke is more important? You really are something else, Joe. You'd rather see people get into car accidents on their way to or from your show for a couple of bucks. How pathetic!

No, we mean proper forecasts. Don't go on about 50 cm of snow with 100km winds when it is really 15 cm and 40 km winds. Most places can do things in a 24 hour period. I'm not sure about other places but we were getting dire warnings a week ago. What did we get? A normal winter storm. Like I've said, around here they been hyping storms for years.

Do you know how many lives and how much property were lost because people no longer BELIEVE the weather channels? Thanks, Timberlea. Yup it's the cries of WOLF! that can also cause problems. Without credibility, Bruce, those same people may have lost lives and property because they no longer BELIEVE what the weather channels- who dramatize to sell advertising- have to say. BTW, Bruce- just a point of fact: My NJ shore home is out in the Atlantic Ocean as we speak. Insurance? Well, I may get paid in the next 2 or 3 years ( after the companies contest it rather than go broke- certainly not enough to cover the cost, considering the dump in real estate), but I have also lost my children's summer place, and a place for my grandchildren to build their own memories, sentimental possessions, and my second home. I did not get off scott free. You know how I found out? New12 NJ helicopter. I had sandals painted on about 1/4 of the roof. Was watching the news and say it floating out into the Atlantic. Tore my heart out....

Been a bit annoyingly HOT here, lately. It's been in the lower 80's here. I hate it.

That's why I love NY weather. Four distinct seasons. HOT summer, COLD winter with white christmas, Spring is green & Fall looks like a thanksgiving postcard. And the best part is if you get tired of one, you know it will change radically in less than three months.

Three seasons would be fine for me, with three snow days for Christmas.

As long as the snow doesn't fall on roads, driveways or parking lots. .

I'm sweating here... It hasn't snowed here since 1976 or 1977. The main reason I moved here from Germany.

I have a big boy snowblower. When we got 13 inches a couple years ago with drifts, it mowed through it like a knife cuts through warm butter.
Corner lot, huge driveway, I won't go without one anymore ever!

I thought at first Smooth was referring to the heated up exchange of posts from above, but after reading it second time around I realized he’s actually talking about the weather. (sorry smooth, can't resist)
