Twice now, once from barnes and noble and now from Amazon I've ordered All stars 60 custom song cards. What I've received in both instances is a country disk containing 30 songs identified from all star as the 60 custom song card. What's going on here? Is there a double secret probation code I'm missing?

Just guessing here. Could there be a difference between Custom Card: You pick the songs you want; they send you the disc (no mention of download): http://www.amazon.com/30-Song-Custom-Ka ... B00406UK46

OR the karaoke E-Card from walmart, target, toysrus, etc., you have the option of download or disc, select the songs you want: http://www.walmart.com/ip/AllStarCustom ... y/21310093

Unless you selected those songs, wonder why they just sent you the country disc without prior song selections?

From the amazon site. ” You pick the songs, we send you the disks. Customize your karaoke by selecting 30 songs from an online catalog of thousands and All Star Karaoke will ship you two custom CD+G discs full of music - Chosen By You!”

I have purchased 4 of the 60 song customs. They are for custom disc only, not downloads.
They way they came for me was in a plastic jewel case type cd case. 1 side had a 30 song card with redemption code, the other side contained the same with a different redemption code. You go to All Star, type in the redemption code & build your disc. A minimum 15 song disc IS required.

I have purchased several of the 30 and one of the 60 song cards from WalMart. We prefer having a disc so we have always ordered them that way.

We have a friend that has always downloaded the songs. Once you enter the redemption code for the card, you can download 2 songs if you want and then go back at a later date and get 2 more, etc. You enter the redemption code each time and All Star knows the balance left on your card.

It seems to be a very flexible and quite easy to use system.

By the way, you can also get the cards at Dollar General. The ones I have seen are $10 for 15 songs.

I did not get a card. I got a cd containing 30 country karaoke songs. This is the second time this happened. All Star responded to my initial email requesting additional information. I sent a second email with the requested information. They have failed to respond. I sent a third email to see where we stood. They also failed to respond to this email. I'm returning the karaoke disc to Amazon tomorrow. I will have no further dealings with All Star.

Mulerider was the seller All-Star Karaoke on amazon or someone else?
when I check on Amazon I find 8 different sellers none of them are All-Stars

Rarewaves
Marvelio
i-dealsstore
pbshopus
goodemotions
evercheap-media
moviemars-cds
and
cdquest

If these sellers are being dishonest why be angry at the manufacturer ? I would be pissed at the sellers and/or Amazon not All-star karaoke.

there is also a disclaimer on the item page currently

"Item Under Review

While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here. (Thanks for the tip!)

We're working to fix the problem as quickly as possible."

On B@N the sellers are
Moviemars
and
paperbackshopus

i agree with kjflorida after looking at b&n (they say format:cd) and the amazon stores (who are not all star) there sounds to be something hokey going on.
you should try all star themselves. never had any issues and they usually fix every issue really fast for those who have had issues.

The order was from All Star. I successfully returned the disc to Amazon. By the way Amazon paid for the return shipping while I had to pony up the return postage for Barnes and Nobles. I placed a third order for 2 - 45 song cards from All Star through Walmart. The codes were to be delivered by email. Two days past the due date I sent an email to Walmart. I received a phone call from Walmart and the codes arrived 30 minutes later. I've ordered 90 songs from All Star. Sixty of the songs catch me up on my 2012 songs, 20 songs from January and February 2013 and the rest were picks that I needed for my collection. With the arrival of their discs the issue will be resolved. Final thought, I still have not received a second email from All Star.

Mulerider, we have had problems receiving our emailed codes from Walmart also only about 1 out of 3 orders is completed however We have not been billed for any codes not received. Please be aware that the All-Star custom discs arrive loose in a card type envelope without packaging. We have purchased about 30 custom discs and had 2 that had to be replaced (free of charge from All-star) one due to being cracked from edge to rim upon arrival and one that never arrived. If you have still not received the second All-Star code from Walmart please contact customer service to find out if you need to reorder.

While I'm waiting for the discs to arrive, I believe I've got it straightened out now. All Star needs to work on their customer relations. Before ordering from All Star I listened to downloads from Tricerasoft and a couple of others. All Star had a better sound. They also had some CCR songs that were not in my collection which were great to find. I agree with other KJ's here that zoom songs sound great but I can't find the latest songs on their site. All star songs are current and cheap, so they do have a place . Let's face it most of the "latest" songs are destined to fade fast.

Mule1Rider,
When you have completed your purchase from All_Star and received your discs you will find the customer service is exceptional. The problems you have encountered have been caused by the companies you have purchased the custom cards from (Walmart, B&N and Amazon sellers) All-Star can not do anything about those problems. All-star does not sell the cards themselves. I detest the problems I have trying to purchase the cards from Walmart but that is the cheapest place for me to purchase them so I continue to place the orders and send the emails and call customer service (at Walmart online) to get 1 set of codes for every 3 attempts. My ire is aimed at the retailer not the product manufacture.

KJ, the problem lies with All Star. They miss labeled their 60 song discs. Both the orders from Barnes and Noble and from Amazon contained the same 30 song country disc with a label from all star stating it was a 60 song karaoke disc. Miss labeling happens. Why didn't All Star respond to my emails and solve the problem? I am not impressed with their customer service.

Never had a problem with their customer service. Had a custom disc broken in shipping once, they sent me a replacement within 3 days.

Mulerider,
Who did you purchase the custom cards from? All-star doesn't sell directly so a problem with a purchase would need to be handled at the retailer. IE if I buy a set of screw es drivers from Walmart and the package states they are hex heads and I get home and find they are Philips head I return them to Walmart for replacement or refund, I do not try and contact the manufacture and expect them to correct the problem ....(I have had this happen).

The All Star discs arrived today and I'm ripping them into my karaoke set. I purchased 60 Hits from 2012 and 20 hits from Jan and Feb 2013. The remaining 10 songs were classics I'm missing from my set. The songs sound good.
