I am doing some of the homework, or at least trying to, for some of the folks interested in here. It is interesting that they are offering them at a discounted rate that expires tomorrow, yet, to the best of my knowledge, they have not submitted a song list...this is not a very common, nor successful, business model...

The new set list hasn't been finalized yet to my knowledge. Up until yesterday there was a link to a spreadsheet on their website with potential songs, and they were asking people to run through the list and mark their "wants" as some songs were easier to license than others.

The link is gone today.

it is a good point though, kinda weird.
kinda like the grab bag deals from some online karaoke stores. you dont know what you are getting until you have paid for it.

Apparently they have removed the February 28th deadline...see link two posts up...

Oh no, the date may have been pushed back. That has never happened to any company in history. So what if it's Feb or Mar. Mountain making out of mole hills.

And OMG the sale is over. Well big whoop. Companies put on and take off sales all the time.

According to the website it appears that the sale is still on and "List Coming Soon".

Panic averted.

Where did it ever say Feb release? I only saw March from the first time it was posted.

The thing to look for is if the quality of the product is still there, and if this is just a flash in the pan to quiet the critics of SC not being a still viable company? If all of this is for show and only going to be available to a select few hosts then I don't see how SC can maintain with this limited release they are still a major player. Rather they have become a specialty item with a small customer base. When it finally appears means very little.

it's not that the date was moved, the original sale date was past and there was still no list of what was actually for sale.
"for $600.00 i will send you some music" what songs? would you buy something that you dont even know what it is?

Here is some previous listed and corrected information:

1). The original posting said the sale would end at 5pm on February 28...at least one person should be able to corroborate that;

2). The price listed was and is $500, not $600, for GEM licensees, which is also able to be corroborated.

Ok SALE would end Feb. But the new releases has always shown sometime in March.

The New GEM Songs Are Still being decided. some KJ's were polled and a lot of different songs were requested that were from other publishers that were not listed in the original list of choices.

Sound Choice is looking into the possibility of getting permission from some of these other publishers on the premise that they would hopefully be able to include them in the new set. so they basically had to go back to square one, which of course set the release date back.

SC had a poll asking what songs we'd like? Do you know when that was announced, or who were the select few to be asked?

I believe that those that the product will be marketed to (Gem owners and Certified Kj's) were asked for requests.

I received an email, directing me to a public link on their website. Anyone could have clicked it, downloaded the excel spreadsheet and voted. Not just GEM licensees.

The List that you all saw is being reconsidered (That is why the link is gone) due to the kj's that were asked. When they have a smaller list of choices to show they will probably put up the new list and ask for votes.
