This means that if they want to pursue the matter they would have to take Karaoke Kandy Store back to court. Since they lost the first time, it would seem the best option would be to forget the matter and move on. True they aren't out any money more than they have already spent, so why spend more if the outcome is doubtful at best? I suggest you read the opinion first, then come back if you think your question still makes any sense.

Just click on opinions search, then search for "Slep" in the name field. This is just a simple reversal of a previous judgement and award, there is nothing in the opinion that awards any damages to SC, and you will have to refile in order for SC to gain any type of compensation won't you James?

Lone Ranger,
My wife asked me to cross post this here for the benefit for any others that may be thinking as you do
"The "summary Judgement" was overturned the case does not have to be refiled it just goes forward to trial as if a motion for summary judgement had never been filed." Steve

Steve Since Athena's husband is named Frank, and the quote is followed by the name Steve, might I assume that you are quoting Thunder as your reference? Not neccesarily disputing the information, but only verifying the source.

Verified While I appreciate your honesty ( and being married to Athena, I would expect no less ), were I to quote a source of legal information, I would probably cite a legal text somewhere and supply a link, rather than quote another poster without a legal education. No offense meant, and still not neccesarily disagreeing, only suggesting a possibly better source of information to quote when citing a legal precedent. Please keep in mind that I am still on your side in regard to the Kandy Store.

Sorry, we were in Las Vegas all week introducing a new product our team developed. If anyone here works at bars that have several TV's. Send us an email. I can go over the product and you can make a referral fee. The feedback at the trade show was unbelievable.
Now onto the Karaoke Kandy Store thread that this is about. I personally believe that the main interest in seeing this lawsuit through is that unlike many of these hard drive sellers online, we are talking about an actual brick and mortar retail store. Something in which will set a HUGE platform and message out there that the retailers are on the chopping block too.
They always say innocent until proven guilty. We are going to watch this one step by step until the end.

Of the two Karaoke brick and mortar stores in Vegas, one is 99% inkjet printed. But, nobody cares because they are mostly Filipino.. Well, that and the pr0n..

Brick and Mortar karaoke stores are few and far between these days. There are only two in the greater Seattle area. Both have been around for a long time. One of those does most of their business through rentals. The other does a lot of mail order...probably more mail order than in store business.

-Chris This brick and mortar store they are after has been there over 20yrs. Has used so many different business names that it makes your head spin, they have several websites, have had a big presence online as well. From what even their own records show online, they are a multi million dollar retail location. If they have this presence and they are doing exactly what is said in the lawsuits. Then that would mean they potentially are peddling large numbers of loaded computers to consumers. We just had yet another customer contact us recently saying they were offered a laptop loaded with 24,000 songs. Of course we told the customer to ask that seller to reply in writing as to what name brands are loaded, whether or not any disc come with it. If not, where does the full library originate from, etc. Basically backing the seller into a corner to properly give you information that helps you determine whether or not it is legit. In this case, it is the same store that you guys are mentioning. (of course under one of their other business names).

Are you against Filipino's?? I believe the person talking about inject printed disc is referring to no one caring because the inject printed disc are mostly foreign disc and most likely not something the mainstream karaoke manufacturers are paying attention to. So I do not believe they were saying anything about Filipino's.
