Recently went to a show that was using karaoke fun at their show..which fill in the gaps of songs they didnt have. Yes its legal as long as your using your own files also. It just upsets me ..that Ive have spent all this money on music and people can compete using this..oh well. Anyone else have this issue????

I don't think their streaming service is legal for pro use. I could be wrong..

No, the license granted to KaraFun for the online catalog only covers a private usage with siblings.

Yet, we allow the usage of KaraFun Player for a public event with your own files, assuming you have the rights to use those files.

So, IMHO, you can use their PLAYER but not their KARAOKE MUSIC FILES for public use.

Mad, I agree with you on your interpretation of their agreement.

Not sure I understand. Is there a difference between Karafun and Karaoke Version ? Also, do you think this applies to SBI downloads ? I've bought and paid for downloads from both of these companies over the years. Does this mean I can't use them now ?

The Karafun player can play many file type, including Karafun and MP3+G. The player can also stream from the Karafun site. THAT is the part in question here. Karaoke Version download purchases are not part of the topic.

So what law enforcement agency is enforcing use of karafun for public shows? How can you use the terms illegal is there is no law enforcement? Doesn't matter what you think.
