Anyone know where I can purchase this disc? It has a song I have been after for ages (Bad day by R.E.M.). So far Google searches have been fruitless.

Thanks.

I have it, and has probably never had a song sang on that disc. If you can't find it anywhere just PM me.

Sorry it's taken awhile. Thank you very much johnny and mrmarog.

Delivery to the UK is astronomically expensive on that website though. I'll have to order several discs together to justify it, but that may have to wait until the other side of Christmas.

Though I see that most mfrs. list Daniel Powter or Fuel as artists, I can at least give you one more Pop Hits disc that contains the track: PHMHR05 ( Hot Rock series)

Since it's a multi-plex it should be cheaper if you find it. Good luck!

Hi again all!

In the end I decided I could not justify the almost $90 shipping cost to the UK. Luckily I discovered that there are a number of PHM tracks on Customburn.com, so I ordered Bad Day on a custom disc and am enjoying it. Thank you to everyone who replied to this thread for your help, and happy singing.

Nice one! There are few old PHM tracks I have been after as well and this Customburn thing has been really bothering me. So, I tried using a VPN to get around the ip block that they use and presto! I have to say it's really a pity that they have to make it so hard. Looks as though they have the entire Stellar catalog as well as The Karaoke Channel, Music Maestro, Easy Karaoke and the other usual mainstays...and downloads - yes!

They do have some gems on there. A shame I hadn't checked back on them sooner ie before I ordered all these PHM discs for one track on each. MM and EK are useful, but I can already get them on Tricerasoft for downloads or Proburn for custom discs. Karaoke Channel you have to watch as they are only permitted for private use. I think Custom Burn's greatest boast is the Sing To The World catalogue - there are loads of gems in that one, including amongst others karaoke's only decent version of Otis Redding's "Hard to handle". For awhile they were the only manufacturers to bring out "A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square" (Bobby Darin version), although a few other have caught up recently since its come out of copyright.

Just did a customburn CDG order and got everything I was looking for in one go. You are right - the Sing to The world tracks are awesome. I hadn't heard of them before, but the samples sound great! Just ordered a load!

So just out of curiosity, are you or are you not allowed to sell tracks to US users (kj's in particular for shows)? I just tried getting to the site again just now & was shown a Access Denied page.

It's nothing to do with individual manufacturers or selling to KJ's but an issue over MCPS license restrictions over territory.

We have to take all reasonable efforts to restrict sales to the territory that our license covers. That's why we have implemented the I.P.blocking system.

Of course there will always be a small amount of spill over as people will always find ways around any efforts that we make and with the site now offering downloads we can't stop those orders being fulfilled.

Rob

It seems very confusing to me. Can't you just take the same approach as Selectatrack? I mean they are in the UK too... Do they have some special license to sell in the US that you don't? I am happy to take the extra measures in order to order from you, but it doesn't make any sense that your competitors can freely advertise to the US and you can't when you are both in the same country and using the same licensing... What am I missing here?

I can't comment on what competitors do, but what I can say is that we have taken these measures to comply with what I believe is the only MCPS license available at this time.
