MusicMaker brand has been out of production for a long while I believe. I have never run across one of their discs ever in all of the discs I have bought.

If anyone has these and would like to sell/trade - Please PM me.

Chris, you said you have never run across this brand within all of the discs you have acquired, but you didn't indicate whether or not you are familiar with the quality of their song tracks. Wouldn't you like to hear from some people regarding the quality of their tracks first before you blindly ask to buy them? Personally, I've never heard of the brand, so I can't offer any feedback on it.

A fellow KJ of mine in Texas has at least a couple of the MusicMaker discs. They made an April Wine disc (KAR006) that I used to sing a few songs from back in the late 90's. Some of the April Wine tracks were only produced for this disc. There is also a track by Kim Mitchell called "Go For A Soda" that exists only on KaraokeMaker that I used to sing as well.

I won't claim to remember the quality of the tracks because the last time I sang any of those tracks at karaoke was almost 20 years ago, but I don't recall having any complaints about them back then.

Edit - Going back to Texas this weekend so I will see if my KJ friend still has them and belt some out this weekend!

i just looked it up on kjpro:

it's actually

Brand:
Karaokemaker
Disc #
go for a soda - is on: KAR007
also
KAR002 is the same disc as KAR006, unless it's a kjpro messup.

so maybe you've just been looking for the wrong manufacturer disc name.

and they only did 10 disc's kar001-009 then one oddball number KAR77172

Canadian manufacturers were (all went out of business due to piracy:

KAR - KaraokeMaker
SK - SingKing
GM - Gamesman
KK - KaraokeKebec (French)
NF - Newfoundland Karaoke (Renditions of Traditional Newfoundland music)

KAR and SK are on par with SC for quality. GM, I would put maybe a bit better than MM. The other two are specialties.

Most can still be bought but some (Trooper and Tragically Hip) are sold out and are sought for.

My bad....I mistyped as MusicMaker when it should be KaraokeMaker.

I am indeed looking for the KaraokeMaker discs.

They list a bunch of discs they no longer stock for some reason. I found 3 Karaoke Maker discs there 1 time, and when I went to get the other 4 - they were still showing as in stock, but I bought & paid for and they refunded my money about a week later. Be careful - or call first.

I have all the karaokemaker series except for the trooper disc. The last time I saw one for sale online the bidding was up to $200 and ending up selling for $250.

Quality is absolutely on par with Soundchoice and Zoom.

I am still kicking myself for selling my Gameman discs. Only place you can get songs from Doug and the Slugs and Roxy Roller by sweeny todd *which I had actually gotten requests for*

If someone wants to buy the set for $500 I might consider it, otherwise you'll have to pry these discs from my cold, dead fingers first..
