A stranger walks into a bar (one that he has never been in before), and is immediately Quote: forcibly removed. on the grounds that the KJ has only known this person ONLINE, and does not want him to hang out at the establishment where he is working. Mind you, this stranger has NEVER ONCE made any threats to disrupt said KJ's show. If memory serves me correctly, the only threat Bruce has ever stated, is that if he doesn't like the way the KJ operates his show (whether it be rotation, non-acceptance of personal discs, accepting TIPS (perceived to be bribes)), that he would just walk out. This isn't about threats and you know it. If you want to make a huge deal about it, go right ahead. Much ado about nothing. Every bar also has a sign posted that says they have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. -Chris

-Chris It isn't?????????? Really?????????????? If this isn't about threats, then why do you feel so threatened, that you would feel the need to use a THREAT of FORCE by stating chrisavis wrote: if you ever show up I can have you forcibly removed. ? What are you feeling so threatened about? chrisavis wrote: Every bar also has a sign posted that says they have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. First off, you are NOT the Bar... You are the hired entertainment. Secondly, I don't know about EVERY BAR having such a sign posted, but even if that is true, in retrospect, ANY Patron can also sue the Bar if they feel they have been discriminated against. And, since Bruce has never made any threats against you or your show (other than the threat of walking out and never returning, or just never coming to your show in the first place), your stance of wanting him banned from any venue where you're doing a show would be considered discrimination. This may not be a Bar, but it sure as heck can apply... http://news.yahoo.com/judge-rules-favor ... 56847.html

Being a female, I can not pee as high on the tree as many of you but I do like Ripman's approach of welcoming Bruce and then sending him out a fan of the show.

What a nice way of saying, "None of your business, and now leave me alone." Yup... and once again, spoken like a true politician. Deflect and avoid answering any questions. Which Office did you say you were running for again?

I am still a business they hired and I have right in my books & it's on the wall as well that "Lonman Productions" reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. I have used that I believe maybe 5 times in 20 years. Usually due to people not following the rules while on stage. Quote: Secondly, I don't know about EVERY BAR having such a sign posted, but even if that is true, in retrospect, ANY Patron can also sue the Bar if they feel they have been discriminated against. It doesn't have to posted (although many places around here do post it), but businesses do have that right behind them. And as long as it isn't due to discrimination (like your citation), a business doesn't need any reason - especially privately owned establishments.

I went to school from 1st to 12th grade with the Hooters restrurant guys (2 of them graduated same year as me), and I had a large tent set up in my backyard next to a small steam. A small bridge crossed the steam and frequently we had a contest that your picture displays........evidently I wasn't the winner.

Cueball; What Chris is offended by, and afraid of at the same time, is the TRUTH. Plain and Simple. I obviously hit a nerve or two and he felt compelled to toss out a meaningless threat in my direction. I am obviously not on the Cheerleading Squad of his beloved Sound Choice so he is trying to act like a tough guy dressed up in nerd's clothing.
I could go to one of his shows anytime that I wanted to because he would have no idea who I was. I stated that I would never go to one of his shows and he decided to put his BIG BOY pants on and "threaten" me knowing full well that the situation would never occur. How Brave!
If I was a new face at his venue, by the end of the night he'd be telling me all about his other locations and asking me to show up at those too. It's easy to act like a tough guy on the internet; especially when the other person lives 3,000 miles away.
Instead of thinking that his show could be improved by changing something, he would rather feel like a cornered rat and go on the attack by making impotent verbal threats because of his defensive nature. People brag about his financial status and his technical know how yet he comes up with every kind of excuse for not playing a customer's disc; both financial and technical. Boo hoo hoo. A disc player costs too much. A disc player takes up too much space and I'll also have to buy a switch and two more cables. Software that plays karaoke discs is too much money too. I'd have to run 2 programs at the same time. Blah blah blah blah blah.
No need to threaten Chris. He seems to be afraid of his own shadow. I guess my threat was showing up at his show and singing a song that he doesn't own. How Scary!

BruceFan4Life wrote: Cueball; What Chris is offended by, and afraid of at the same time, is the TRUTH. Your "truth" is actually your opinion. So far, the truth lies very far away from what you have posted. BruceFan4Life wrote: Instead of thinking that his show could be improved by changing something..... The only thing remotely close to a suggestion to improve anything that you have offered is to make a disc player available. I know that is hard for you to comprehend but people just don't carry discs around to karaoke shows in downtown Seattle. I have heard stories that back in the olden days, the well-to-do in Seattle would pull up in their horse and buggy and a dedicated disc check attendant would carry trunk loads of homemade karaoke discs into the venue for them (and they refused to accept tips too!). The common folk carried their discs around in their knapsacks with the occasional bandana wrapped bundle on a stick. It all went smoothly until it rained and the buggies got bogged down in the muddy streets from the weight of their discs. Oh how I yearn for the days of yesteryear! BruceFan4Life wrote: People brag about his financial status and his technical know how yet he comes up with every kind of excuse for not playing a customer's disc; both financial and technical. Boo hoo hoo. Who brags about my financial status and/or technical know how? Seriously, this goes to your "truth" comment above. Please prove your statement or be called out on it. Also, see above, not an excuse, just not something my customers ask for. The cumulative cost/effort doesn't pay off in kind. The number of people that bring their own discs to shows is very small. The number of people like you that create their own karaoke in infinitesimally small. Karaoke is not life insurance - I will die someday so having a life insurance policy is a 100% guaranteed pay off, but chances are pretty good (and getting better every day!) that no one will ever bring a disc to my karaoke show and even if they do, I will already have or can get exactly what they want on the fly. The "Boo hoo hoo" comes from 1) a solitary singer that lives 3000 miles away from me that says he will never come to my show anyway, 2) a singer that sings music that was never made as karaoke so he makes it himself and instead of putting it on much more useful and common medium like a USB stick that 90% of karaoke venues out there could actually play, instead chooses to use an out-dated technology that even the commercial karaoke manufacturers have all but abandoned, 3) a singer that *COULD* put a karaoke host at risk of liability by playing said singers homemade tracks (I know it is a very, very unlikely possibility, but according to you, I should be prepared for fringe events!), and finally, 4) a singer that makes a woefully feeble and wholly unsuccessful attempt at making karaoke hosts that don't have players feel bad about it. BruceFan4Life wrote: A disc player costs too much. A disc player takes up too much space and I'll also have to buy a switch and two more cables. Software that plays karaoke discs is too much money too. I'd have to run 2 programs at the same time. Blah blah blah blah blah. Cost is only an issue in respect to it being money that doesn't get utilized effectively. No requests for discs, no need to for the equipment. But just to put this to rest, I have the equipment, I just don't use because there is no need for it. (all of this is for sale by the way) Attachment:

As I noted in a previous post, I can take the high road on this. If Ripman can convert you, then I would like to think I can as well. If you give me a heads up, I will bring in a disc player just for you. -Chris
