Why? Were you planning on spending $300 for that 1 disc??? Really????????????????

Maybe. Maybe not. Either way, it is my money to spend and "Really????????????????" feels like a judgment.

No... not a judgement.... just a question (with extra ??? to add emphasis). I seem to recall you posting (about 1 year ago) that you were always on the lookout for purchasing used CDGs (preferably in bulk), but that you were not willing to pay more than about $5-10 per disc, and also that you were always trying to haggle the seller's prices down. You also mentioned that in some of those acquisitions you've made, they contained a copy of SC8125. I'm sure that you may have paid more than $300 for your purchase, but, with all the other discs you got with that purchase, I'm willing to bet that it came nowhere close to $300 for that 1 disc.

And I will say it again....

@jdmeister - I have done a lot of looking over the past two years. I have never found it for sale that cheap unless it was part of a bulk buy.

I have 6 of these discs now. Three of them I picked up in bulk buys and they cost me $1-$3 each. The others I paid a premium for and feel that what I paid was a fair price. I would like to get 1 more disc to cover my plans for expansion.

@cue - My apologies. I actually thought I posted and then edited it out because of how I feel about advertising auctions like this. When I first posted it, I thought they were asking $3000, not $300 which was the only reason I posted it in the first place. $3000 is ludicrous even for me thinking that value is relative. Too little sleep.

Interesting since I went to the site and it allowed me to add all the songs. I don't want those bad enough to pay 70 bucks yet. Let alone pay 300.00 LOL Although I will pay 70 for ones I want. I look at the SC download customer discs as pretty good option. For the songs I want from SC that I haven't found the discs reasonable yet. As most SC discs only have 2 - 4 songs anyone actually requests to sing. so 20 bucks for their discs was too pricey for me. I'll pick them up used pretty cheap.

kjmann You are correct I just looked the other day and could have sworn that those were available. Hotel California is available and just a few more. But not all on the disc.

The Eagles tracks from 8125 have not been available for almost 2 years. They were for almost 6 months after they went back online. I would check the site 3 or 4 times a month, even had my disc made and saved, waiting until I could feasibly purchase it. When I finally went back, it was gone and a note in my cart stating that a disc I had started had songs deleted due to restrictions from publishing (or something to that effect). They haven't been back since, I still check. Not a big deal, I already have the original disc, just wanted a back up.

Take a Closer look and you will notice that hotel California and others are not the sound choice versions. only 6 of the songs are the sound choice versions and they are not from the sound choice 8125 disc.

Chris

The disk I purchased was (I'm sure) NOS, (New, Old Stock) from a Karaoke warehouse
in the Harbor Gateway area of L.A.

They seemed a bit dicey when I asked about the disk, but my buddy calmed them down a bit, told them I was not the Karaoke police, and the disk was mine..

I'll ask if more are in stock..

Wow...another sucker buys an obsolete disc for crazy money.

Sell em if you got em folks! Just like comics, baseball cards, and beanie babies, don't miss the peak.

Now is the time to cash in.

Well, ordering custom tracks from Clark scau no longer applies as they closed their custom burn service. :( http://mykaraokecdg.com.au/customer/home.php

WOW, what a scam. WHo would pay 4 bucks for abraxa version. For sound choice sure. But never that much for any other version of a song. Least wise until they get their quality up to par.

LOL Lots of $$. However, ebay community will question the signature authenticity, so you probably need to get a picture taken with him holding the said item. Then we’re talking bucko $$$$$$$$.

that's too bad, for anyone wanting sound choice tracks anymore...

and when I ordered 2 of the 8125 disc's from them they had all 15 soundchoice versions shortly after I posted I bought the disc's from their website 2yrs ago they pulled those songs.

Chris, imagine what a Trooper or Tragically Hip disc would get on E-Bay.

I have a SC 8125. I had to pay around $500 for it. Way over priced but I can say that I have it. I am a huge Eagles fan also...

OK... Being a huge Eagles fan doesn't really mean that you must have the SC disc containing 15 of their songs which are available on other manufacturer discs. Would you be willing to elaborate why you had to have that specific disc, and why you were willing to pay so much for it?
Was it just so that you could have a disc that is no longer available for sale in the Retail Market (at least not to my knowledge), and have bragging rights to that effect?
Was it just because it is a SC disc, and no other manufacturer's versions of the songs from that 1 disc would be acceptable to you?
Was it just because you wanted to have a complete set of SC discs (or just the Spotlight series)?

What do you plan to do with that disc now that you have it?
Do you plan to use it or keep it unopened (in its shrink wrap)?
Do you plan to try and auction it off a a higher price than what you paid for it?

I'm not trying to bust your chops here. I really want to understand the motivation behind spending $500 for a disc that originally retailed for $30, and why someone who acknowledges that $500 was more than the disc is worth (to quote you... "way over priced"), would still be willing to spend that kind of money for it.

Pardon my speculation but are you by any chance the winning bidder of 3 sc8125’s? Sorry to disclose your identity, but I think you’re bidder 2***2. LMAO

May 6, 2013 - sold for $510 winning bidder - 2***2 (masked ID)
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0908451735

May 29, 2013 - sold for $430 winning bidder - 2***2
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 1145578150

Jul 10, 2013 – sold for $416 – You almost got this one, so close but another bidder beat you to it. http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0939941777

I can’t find the other one that sold for $528. 2***2 was also the winning bidder. So I say again: are you or are you not ------------------- :rotflmao:

I didn't bid on that one. The one I bought was a while back. I bought it firstly because I do a lot of eagles songs. I have sang all the other ones and nothing compares. Soundchoice sounds the best. I also bought it Just because I can have something that is rare and most people don't have. Most people don't have the money lying around for expensive purchases like that, but I don't fully rely ony business for income either.
