It was my 63rd B'Day yesterday, and I let everyone know that I was planning on celebrating it during my show last night. For September in Florida we had a great crowd with 25 singers and 50 listeners. My wife brought a half sheet cake which serves 50, and we ran out. I normally only have one beer during my show, but last night I had a lot more than that, and had a blast. My intent was to have a party, and the result was that the bar did very well.

Gee I thought 1 beer (light beer) an hour is about right for a reg. night. It sounds like you had a good time and HAPPY birthday.

Well it's 7:07 Pm here and I'm finally feeling good enough to have another beer. I didn't get out of bed until 11 AM and I'm leaving for Iowa on Saturday for Mom's 99th B'day Sept 19. I will drive non-stop (other than gas) and be there Sunday noon (23 hrs later).

Don't mean to hijack a thread, but mrmarog just turned 63, I just turned 66, Lone Ranger is also in his 60s, and ready to retire, it seems we have a lot of senior citizen hosts. I wonder how many more of us are in their 60s. (Of course ladies need not answer that).

57, but thanks to Mom an Dad's genes ( very little gray in dark brown hair, good teeth, and a body honed as a lifetime fighter- Mom's an 88 year old long distance swimmer and skateboarder, and can drop and give you fifty without breaking a sweat, Dad played 2-3 sets of tennis every day until 93- and still beat resort "tennis pros" regularly when he passed healthy through a trauma) have been told I look 10-15 years younger. Started hosting with cassettes and lyric sheets decades ago.....

I have to mention that I don't think of myself as a "senior citizen" and the twinkie ladies seem to agree- though I tend toward grownups.
