I was offered Lost Classics 3-10, the original disks, not copies. They are in excellent shape. The lady wants $30 each for them. All I could find was one on eBay by Priddis for $31 and change, so I'm assuming this is a good price.

Just out of curiosity, what do the original disks go for? I can't find any of them anywhere. Seems people hold them really close.

$30 each for a used disc that wasn't great to begin with? No way. Not worth it. I'd pay maybe $5 each. They didn't even retail for more than $25 each in stores when they were available - they have been discontinued for over 10 years so you won't find any new. Yes they are hard to find, but that is only because much of their songs have been done much better by other manus.

I agree with Lon. $30 each is overpriced for mediocre cds. Heck, I believe I only paid $18 ea new from way way back years ago. :) Try this one - if you win this set 1-9 (sealed/new according to the seller) cost to you would only be $30 w/ shipping. Even if you pay over $50, still better than the lady offering you 8cds @$30 ea = $240. Good luck!

Those are definitely not the original CD's. I have a couple of the originals, and the cover looked nothing like that, plus the letters were LC, not LCK, so I don't know what those are. I'd be afraid to buy them, not knowing the quality, at whatever price.

I'm sorry y'all feel so badly about this series. I used to sing from them at shows, and I liked a few of them a lot. They had Linda Ronstadt's "Ooh, Baby Baby" and it was a great version.

If you can get song listing from one of the discs, we can tell you if this is the same set or not. There were two incarnation of Lost Classics - one with the Priddis logo (like the link provided) and LC without but they were all the same discs/music/swipes and all.

They all have LC not LCK, 003 and 004 are just silver, and the rest have a Priddis logo in the bottom left corner.

Well again most likely it is the same set - the ones you have access to may be the original labels but again there were a couple of reprints from the manu. Still not worth $30 each.

Those are definitely reprints from the ORIGINAL cds made by the same manu, Priddis - notwithstanding different sleeve images. I checked my original L/Classic LC001, exact same tracks, 15 songs. Lon mentioned this above; a reincarnation, different cover, exact same music arrangement, wipes & all.

I agree with Brian, Lost Classics are Priddis. The graphics can be hard to follow on LC because the next line to sing is a little slow to show on the screen. With Karma, and others, you can advance the graphics and that does help. LC does have some songs not found anywhere else (Susan by Buckinghams for one). Overall they are a worthwhile set to add to your collection, but NOT for the money they are asking.

fyi – item no longer available. I bought it. I just received an invite from a dear friend having a karaoke birthday party at her home in 3wks & I don’t know what to give her. She doesn’t have a lot of cds, so this will be a good addition & definitely in line with her collections of mm, sav, tt & dg. :)

It was up for auction listed for $30 (ship incl.), less than a day left & no bid. I emailed the seller if he’s willing to do “buy it now” option with my offer of $40. He agreed, sent me a paypal invoice, done deal.

I also asked the seller if the cds are legit. He assured me they are. His teen daughter received these as part of prizes for winning a regional karaoke contest sponsored by karaoke stores in the area. Daughter doesn’t recognize the songs, hence - - Sold! Not bad, 9 new cds for $4.45 each. Yaaay!

I have 3 Lost Classics discs, and the ones that Brian showed the e-bay link for, are the originals I remember. Priddis adopted them years later, and just re-branded them with the Priddis name on it.

@ KarrieOK --- You mentioned the Linda Rondstadt version of "Ooh Baby Baby." Could you have been referring to the "Karaoke Classics" version, and not "Lost Classics?" Here's what's on the KC disc:

KC 7-1 Just Dropped in (To See What Condition My Condition Was In) - Kenny Rogers and the First Edition
KC 7-2 Eve of Destruction - Barry McGuire
KC 7-3 Love the One You're With - Stephen Stills
KC 7-4 World Without Love, A - Peter and Gordon
KC 7-5 Tuesday Afternoon - The Moody Blues
KC 7-6 Longer - Dan Fogelberg
KC 7-7 Open Arms - Journey
KC 7-8 Fly Like an Eagle - The Steve Miller Band
KC 7-9 One Toke Over the Line - Brewer and Shipley
KC 7-10 Ribbon in the Sky - Stevie Wonder
KC 7-11 Easy - The Commodores
KC 7-12 See You in September - The Happenings
KC 7-13 Ooh Baby Baby - Linda Ronstadt
KC 7-14 Bridge Over Troubled Waters - Simon and Garfunkel

I concur with Cue & Lon. I still have my LC original set 9cds, & no listing of L Ronstadt’s ‘Ooh Baby Baby’. However, kjpro listed it on PLC10. Must be continuation of the series after priddis acquired it from the orig lc manu. http://www.kjpro.com/browse/tracks.php?DiscNo=PLC10

My search indicated priddis made lc plc10 & 11 thereafter. Never owned 10 or 11 but if they’re better than the orig set of 9 cds, probably better to a greater degree, hence Karrie-OK quote: “They had Linda Ronstadt's Ooh, Baby Baby and it was a great version”, then I’m ready & willing to retract what I said above – ‘mediocre’. My apologies for jumping to conclusions.

Hey what happened to Lon’s post above after Cue that I concurred with? Not there anymore. Now it appears my ‘concurrence’ was a figment of my imagination. LOL

Just in case wanting "Ooh, Ooh Baby" is an issue, Karaoke Cloud has a Priddis version. Just had a singer request it.
