Nothing like trying to start up two brand new shows in a 7 day window! After almost 4 years, this has been the most nerve-wracking week I have had. New gear, new music, new venues, same old butterflies in my stomach! Here is a pic of the new show we start tonight. Attachment:

Success! It took almost 2 hours to get there, but we are 17 deep in the rotation. To be fair though, this is a place that has had karaoke for many years. They had the same host for many years. He retired about 3 months ago and they brought in another company. They weren't happy with them and I got the call. But also to be fair, the previous hosts couldn't hold a candle to my song selection or my sound systems. Attachment:

Chris, What's with Jason singing Minnie The Moocher 4 times? Nice place! Way to go!

That looks like a really cool place to hang. Most of the bars around here are small little holes in the wall. Cozy, but not the fancy kind of place you have there.

Where are the singers looking for the lyrics? I like that you have the big projection behind them so the bar can follow along, though.

I like the projection monitor. less to set up if they’re house speakers hanging up there. very nice place. Congrats, Chris.

In the panorama pic, just left of center you will see a 42" TV on the wall. I do wireless HDMI to that screen for singer lyrics. This isn't a super fancy venue, but it is a large venue. I was told they had there best Thursday in 6 months last night. For that I credit my wife who has been doing 90% of our marketing for almost a year now. She has done a fantastic job of keeping our name in front of the karaoke community, creating fun, engaging social media marketing, and putting up with the monstrous amount of time that karaoke has consumed in the past few months. I just might have to put her on the payroll. -Chris

The owner committed to spending some money on upgrading house sound. I need to find out what "some money" means to him! -Chris

Chris, Thanks for the Pic.s It's great to see the venues others are doing. It also gives the rest of us ideas for our places to help improve.

....Looks cool, Chris. Now, just go out and buy a video camera, set it up to capture the singers on stage and tie it into the big screen. Give the crowd a "Live Concert Feel."
