I have always considered PartyTyme to be substandard quality. Last night I was checking out the host I will be replacing next week and he used PartyTyme for three different tracks. The swipes are sub-standard, but they sounded pretty good musically.
Anyone else using PartyTyme regularly that can offer an opinion?

I have a couple that had songs out that weren't available at the time, and 1 disc someone gave me. Music wise - ok, swipes - eh. I definitely would not want them as my primary set - a fill in here or there, to me they are on par or slightly lower than PHM for music, graphics probably equate to All Star. Cons - They usually come out with their 'hits' later than everyone else though. Pros - Usually can be found at Toys R Us or Walmart for relatively cheap.

I have quite a few Party Tymes that I acquired with some bulk purchases, and for my Oldies gang they are very acceptable. A large number of my singers bring in their own cd's so if I have it, I play it from my computer instead of playing their disc. I find the swipes to be useable as well.

Been using Sybersound (Party Tyme) to fill in newer songs. While I agree the swipes are a tad short, I've gotten no complaints about the music. Of course, I disagree with Lonnie. Those Quik Hits/Fastrax/Singer's Solution discs are pretty much like All Star and All Hits, but Party Tyme is of much better quality. I have never been satisfied with All Star, and my patrons have complained about the few discs that I have (promping replacement).
In short, the music is high medium ( better than stellar too, BTW) and while the swipes don't thrill me, the singers seem to have no problem with them.

I have quite a few of the newer Party Tyme disc. The music is pretty good although I too believe the swipes could be better. Many of their songs sound better than All Star IMO. The swipes are ok none of my customers have ever complained about them. I have quite a few song duplicates between P/T and CB from the last year or so that CB was in business. I would say it is a 50/50 split between who had a better version musically. The only other good thing about P/T is most of their disc have very little fluff in them. Many of the newer songs get done quite often. I also download SBI,Zoom,DT and All Star. I buy most of mine from Best Buy as most of the other stores around her no longer carry them.

...Late to the game here but I think Party Tyme Karaoke is fairly good. I probably have most of what they've ever put out. A couple years ago I started with their Billboard Hits. Graphics looked good. Perhaps some swipes are off but never really noticed. The only reason I went back and purchased so many was because I was getting tired of using my SC Discs (less wear and tear). Am in the process of getting everything in order for an SC Audit but overall, Party Tyme is good (IMHO)!

Yup, they are also very light in fluff with an extremely high percentage of useable songs. BIG bang for the buck in that department.

I have a few. Music is usually fairly good. I actually prefer All Star graphics over the Party Tyme myself because of the presence of the count in bars on All Star. I've also used Karaoke Bey for a few songs that people requested that I didn't think would be requested by too many other people and they've been quite usable as well...
