I quit putting a lot of money into Christmas songs as I rarely had anyone do them. Then last week people were singing them and some of the spectators rebelled and said, "No more." I thought that was a bit rude but one of the singers responded by just singing more. I'm going to have to get some Grinch hats to pass out this week.
I did have someone do the Adam Sandler Hanukkah song which made me happy.
No holiday parties so far. Had a hint of one but they like to hold their get togethers outside and the weather just went single digits so don't see that one happening.

I have a separate insert for holiday songs, and have had just a few sung so far. It usually picks up as we get closer.
As for holiday parties, I wouldn't give up hope just yet. Yes, I've booked some, but mostly from regular clients that I get every year. However, over the last 2-3 years the old advance booking bit has gone out the window.
It used to be that holoday parties were booked as much as 3 months in advance- no more, at least for me. Due to the economy, many folks don't have any idea what their budget will be until the end of the year. This has resulted in bookings as close as a week in advance ( last year I got one 3 DAYS in advance- luckily at a familiar venue- no need to check in advance).
So don't give up hope yet, but keep in a state of advanced prep- you'll need it.

It's almost become "old hat." Like others here, we put out a special section for the Christmas music (they are not in the regular book) and try to discourage singing them before Thanksgiving and after Christmas. We did have a gentleman sing one the Monday before Thanksgiving. We actually encourage them "in season" and we must have had 6 last night. I did "Christmas Cookies" - George Straight.
