We are running a 6 week karaoke contest. We want to support a different theme for each week (one night only). Here's the ones we're thinking of: 70's 80's Country Planes, Trains and Automobiles Love Songs (for Valentine's Night) Cross-Dress (boys sing girl songs, girls sing boys)
Any suggestions we can swap out? We have to have the Western night, we're primarily a country saloon. We're going to encourage dressing up to the theme of course.
Thanks, -KJ Kevan Tango Saloon, Homedale, ID

There are actually a lot of songs and artists that involve the weather. Rain, sunshine, moon, hurricanes, seasons, even a Total Eclipse of the Heart.

Instead of 70's and 80's, how about Ballad songs, Rock, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, and even Disco?

We didn't want to pass up the "Dress Up" opportunities that the patrons have fun with for the 70's and 80's.
I did bag the Male / Female swap, and went with a "Weather" themed night instead. Great idea!

We did a beach party theme last year in February. It was a big hit. We decorated the bar in a tropical theme, and some of the patrons dressed in beach wear - swim suits & all. I'm planning on doing it again this year.
