Say whatever you want, people are making a crap load of money with them. I can understand that, and maybe at a corporate event it might hold some merit, but at a wedding? How tacky. Again, I'd like to know what the advantage is for the wedding guests when they can leave with all the pictures they want to that they've taken themselves. Now I can see if taking photos was prohibited at weddings but it's not. You can take all the pictures you want. So again, what the hell do you need a photo kiosk at a wedding for?

I went to a fundraiser that had a photo booth. People were dressing up with funny props. It was a big hit. The line for the photo booth was longer than the line was for the bar to get drinks. When I saw one of these set up at the Mobile beats DJ expo I know I had to have one. It takes me no longer to set up the photo booth than it does to set up the DJ equipment. I thing I like the most is it makes double the money than the average DJ rates.

Could you post a picture of it? I'd like to see what this particular one looks like.

... My hope is to rent the photo booth and dj the event and make about 1500.00 a party. I don't see the possibility of this being a successful money maker. Aside from all the work of setting this thing up, we got a few negatives going on here: ... ... 3. This will take up space so don't plan on using this in the average bar. I could go on but I'll stop here. I think we can agree to forget Number 3. With what audiprola established, we're talking more about private functions in large spacious places (not an average bar). But, one thing I neglected to say before, was in regard to how much audioprola hopes to get per booking. Most of the people here (in K-Scene) have mentioned what they usually make for private functions. I don't recall anyone boasting that they have made over $1,000 for those gigs. I seem to recall most being somewhere within the $600-700 range. How many of you have charged more, and how often in the year have you made that much for a single gig (not counting TIPS)? The few wedding I have done have been in the $800 - $1000 range.
Two exceptions - First one I ever did was for free for my best friends and before I ever started karaoke hosting. I did one for $500. They had a budget and I had minimal work to do. It worked out well and led to one additional $1000 gig.

audioprola wrote: can someone please tell me how to put a picture up don't know how Trying to send pic of the photo Kiosk Sure. Just click on Post Reply and scroll down until you see a button that says choose file. Click it and then select the file from your computer that you want to post. After you do that, click on Add The File. You can then write anything you'd like as if you were responding normally and when you're done, click Submit.
