if you look for example at SBI, Sunfly, Zoom, Mr Entertainer, Karaoke Version, and i believe karaoke.net...they have a price for their tracks and it is the same whether that is MP3+G OR HD MP4. using the tricerasoft credit method, single pricing per track, but offer the choice of formats like all the others, you will make a killing. these are services that nearly everyone here uses on a nightly basis to fulfill our song requests. if we are offered another option (assuming you fix the receipt issue on MP3+G like you have done with the hd site) you would get much business, your quality is great and so you could be primed to jump right in with a nice library of music.

So what's up with the names of the packs? Do they offer any significance? I assume an updated pick and choose area is coming soon. I can appreciate the modern content for many KJs but it doesn't suit my needs. I prefer to purchase 20-40 pack credits and use them as I want.

No special significance to the package names, just branding.

We hope to be able to offer individual songs in the near future. That's a scaling issue, where managing 25 products is doable in the context of all our other tasks, and managing thousands isn't, yet. We're testing ways of automating as much of the process as we can, and hope to be able to offer singles soon.

I'm not certain if the system will support credit purchasing, but I'll see if I can find a plug-in that will work.

I'm finding similar issues as some other members on here. I do agree with Mr Boo though to offer smaller package credits like tricerasoft and use the credits as needed during a live show when we absolutely need to have that certain song that second.

I also find songs that have purchase option within the software very convenient and notice that credits are much easier to spend when used within software.

I agree, but if I can get the same song for $1.20 vs. $1.49, I'll go to my download laptop.

The hosting software integration value would be
Type song name/artist in host software search box and hit enter
-navigate to site and choose available song/artist automatically
-click to purchase
-song purchased
-file downloaded in user's preferred format
-disc manufacturer recognized automatically
-correctly formatted song automatically added to media database.

If the hosting software cannot do all that then you are right . . there is no real difference.

I think it's steep too. Downloads should be $1.99 to $2.50 each and regardless of format.

We are used to those prices from Europe. I doubt we will be able to find many US producers that can do it at or better than $2.50... It's different Publisher rules here..

Well then, people will continue to buy from SBI, Sunfly, Karaoke Version as long as they're still available for download. My first choice for new music is SBI. They have good quality and are reasonably priced. If DigiTrax cannot offer downloads at a similar price point, their is really no incentive to buy from them.

The incentive for buying from the US producers is to make sure they stay in business. Because we could be screwed if we lose them and the rights owners get to Sunfly, SBI, etc. They got to Zoom, which means they are probably already trying. I don't think Karaoke Version would be at risk as they are French and are beating to a slightly different drummer. But who knows..

i don't think i would mind paying $3/track if it meant that the publishers start allowing karaoke tracks that are currently on the 'no fly' list. I would also be willing to pay that to keep them out of my business, even if i don't have any YET.

I have a very strong suspicion that the price point for karaoke.net is going to be close to $3 as well.

as for karaoke version, well it isn't that different for me because with the exchange rate, a track works out to just over $4 anyway.

No more Sunfly on Tricerasoft

Man they aren't going to have any content at this rate. Glad I used most of my credits.

You can get KJ Media Pro tracks as low as $1.49 if you buy 500 credits.

It's different because if you buy from their site, you receive a download link in your receipt, then you download it and then you need to import the new track.

in software, you view the complete tricerasoft offerings from the software, click buy, instantly downloads to your software and plays shortly after.

same with iPad and Karaoke Apps integrated with tricerasoft downloads.

I can't see many KJ's out there dishing out almost 750.00 USD on credits especially for just 500 songs.
It's crazy enough I myself got caught in the trap spending that amount on new songs just because it was convenient.

I really have grown comfortable leasing my brand new 2015 Honda Civic and also have grown comfortable leasing 21,127 songs for karaoke even though I own nothing, I make money from using them day after day.

If it wasn't locked into predetermined packs & just as 500 credits, $750 isn't outrageous to pay, although most sites that sell larger credit packs are typically a little cheaper in the end although not by a ton. Selectkaraoke 200 pack for $280 breaks down to $1.40 per. All Star you can actually get prepaid cards that can get the individual tracks down to about $.44 cents per - but then you are working with All Star so so on down quality.

If I can give a recommendation to Karaoke cloud. The quality of your music is great. My new favorite. But the download site is one of the worst. I buy every song they put out. Just wish they would put out more.

not really...
when click buy the link is right there on the site in front of me to download, Siglos automatically imports the songs as well from the folder it downloads to. this si why i am thinking there is something i am missing. my software without the being integrated works exactly the same.
