the part you have missed is that i have been waiting since 2010 and many on here were vets long before i started. you missed every promise of new discs year after year long before Advance and tin cup began.
in that time all that has happened is more law suits against technical-infringers, an increase in piracy and push back from venues, more empty promises, more suits, more empty promises and buying another name to sue for....followed by more empty promises.
a new U.S. manu is greatly needed and wanted, but how many chances do you give?

Hey I backed off... I didn't let the "Irish" side of me out yet.

But patience is in order.

Give them time.

I was in the middle of buying / Testing HD Karaoke Boxes at the same time SC sent me an email intro to their new offerings. This is why I was rushing.

Now that I've picked myself off of the chair I just fell off of (from laughing so hard), and finished cleaning off my PC Screen Monitor (from the soda I spit out while I was drinking and reading this), I would like to know....

Who do you think you are BS-ing?????!!!!!!!! You did not BACK OFF until James responded to you (and ONLY YOU) PERSONALLY.

Hello Pot.......

Got it. :D

At least I'm not hounding Jim for answers. I waited nice and patiently before asking him if there was any new progress for the (possible) upcoming ADVANCE series.

It's just when he mentioned "Phoenix Prime" & "Phoenix Platinum" I was to assume it may be some kind of "membership thing" or may even be a "Media Box" kind of thing that KARAOQ guys were talking about.

I just needed to know "At That time" I didn't mean to put pressure on anyone.

I didn't realize it was directed at Jim and not the Pep crew.

You put WAY too much faith in SLEPPY/PEPPY. They will not get back to production, at least not of anything that hasn't already been released. Did you NOT see the list of songs they were offering with the Advance Program?? All but one or two have already been released by everyone else. Sleppy/Peppy is finished as a Karaoke provider.

Yes, that was sad, but I blame delusional marketing tactics (maybe alcohol was involved during that choice) They are human and we must forgive them for they not know what they do

PEP < :withstupid: >SOUNDCHOICE

They are a good company though... they just need a "woman" in power. (CEFO) Chief Executive "Female" Officer

You claim to be a "veteran in this business" but you didn't know that;
(a) "Soundchoice" was sued out of business whether they care to admit it or not. Shifting assets just weeks ahead of a scheduled trial is a pretty good marker and they no longer exist.... at all. Period. End of story.
(b) "PEP" is not a manufacturer until such time as they release something that can be called a "product." So far, there hasn't been any.... at all... But I'm sure that they appreciate the money people have sent in for new music.... because they need it to make some public domain kids songs to keep the CB label alive so they can sue more KJ's and venues.
(c) Read the history in order to understand how uninformed and mislead you truly are. This is not a criticism, it's a suggestion.

I would disagree that they are a "good" company. They are simply parasites living off of a trademark or two while suing KJ's and venues and banging a tin cup for you to send them money while spouting they want to make the "industry better."

Listen to the "veterans" that post here: There is just as much venom directed at them for their previous inactions and outright "stories" that it's really sad.

I don't understand how Harrington and Slep can sleep at night but if you'll continue to kiss their rear ends and send them money, they won't care about it.

Continuing to repeat this lie, no matter how many times you do, will never make it true.

Give it to 'em Jim... They all try to avoid the real stuff and amplify the negative.

Phoenix Prime is a membership in PEP for "various and growing list of benefits" (with 0 products for you, not sure what that is)
Phoenix Platinum not a program, maybe you mean Sound Choice Direct. that is direct sales to venues provided they hire PEWP employees to host.
the first is paying for a membership for nothing and the second is to bypass you alltogether. neither can do anything but hurt your bottom line.

Good thing that PEP doesn't have the phrase, "Gettin' the Band Back Together," trademarked, or they would be at risk for getting sued. ha ha...

Crowd funding: My unemployed friend did that for his rabbit's vet bill...

New company with a novel/new idea? Sure worth a few bucks to the cause, who doesn't want to see the little guy succeed?

A (Former) big name in karaoke who has been suing every one they can now using this method? You have GOT to be kidding me. Unless you have actually changed your stance on giving people PRODUCT who would fund you (not a thank you card or a t-shirt), you are not going to get a good jump there. Good luck offering NOTHING relevant in exchange for their money.

You have also sued enough KJs and made it so they won't/can't touch your product, and the 'unqualified' people won't have access to it. That has to got be the worst business model I ever seen. When/if it does come out, it might be so old that no one will want it anyway (Ex: Advance). Sorry I can't invest in a company like that.

Make something new and relevant, make it available to everyone, maybe to get back in the game take a slight loss on it (introduction rate). You might have something or at least get off the ground.

I will be perfectly clear: You are not looking good here. You should listen to those that have been trying to tell you something, even the people who DON'T like Sound Choice are giving you better ideas then what you are doing now.

Good luck with your venture.

Maybe Getting The Band Back Together should sue PEP for using that phrase :)

I have been saying this over and over. It is TIME for Sound Choice to go away!! Close the doors, and let someone else have their turn at the glory. SC had their chance. They blew it. They have created enemies, produced nothing since 2009, and have done nothing but given us stories and empty promises. They are done, and now they need to go the way of the dodo bird.

Continuing to repeat this lie, no matter how many times you do, will never make it true.

Continuing to deny that it is the truth is also a lie is it not?

#1. Is SlepTone in business? NOPE. (100% true)

#2. Did SlepTone shift it's assets to PEP? (itself) (100% true)

#3. Is SlepTone out of business? YES (100% true)

#4. Was PEP named as a defendant in the amended complaint against SlepTone for copyright infringement? YES (100% true)

Did the new entity (PEP) enter into a $ettlement agreement with EMI as a result of the copyright infringement lawsuit? YES (100% true)

Looks to me like it's all "100% truth" unless you'd care to prove any of the points above to be otherwise.....

Take your time.... I'll wait..... (after 6 years, I'm used to waiting)

So, to use your logic, then continuing to deny the truth won't make that lie ... the new truth.

Exactly Paradigm, exactly....

Harrington is in the "word business" and he uses it like whitewash for marketing.
Using words like;
Certified
Advance
Direct
Pro
Platinum
Prime

is just a new shade of lipgloss on a pig. When you wipe that away, underneath it's still a pig.

It is pointless to release new music on disks or even as digital downloads. Reason why is just minutes later they wind up on the internet.

Best thing is to take what you own and encrypt it on a media device and sell that device as a "new product offering"

Media Boxes now-a-days have special encryptions. Hint Hint!!!!

Now what would be Golden in todays market is a "SOUNDCHOICE MEDIA BOX" with their collection of 6000 SC quality songs Encrypted in the box. I would gladly purchase one of these for $300.00 (for the media Box) and pay $29.99/monthly or have an option to purchase Mediabox & Music for Limited monthly payment options.

Stingray would have to be the one offering it, they own the content and they have no interest...

It doesn't matter how secure the media storage has become. As long as it can be played, it can be recorded, and hence copied. Copy protection is a myth. There is no magic box.

The existence of pirated media will be a constant in the universe. The music publishers need to concentrate their efforts into getting media to the masses faster and easier. That itself will slow piracy. It will never be cured, but you can keep it at bay if there are better alternatives for honest people.
