Correct, however their lawsuits against them shut their download site down indefinitely

As of New years eve tho, all links to the site *and references to tricerasoft* are broken. Man makes me wish I had gotten the smaller credit pack like I was originally thinking. thank goodness I have double backups of all the songs I've downloaded from them at least, just in case it is permanent.

That really sucks. I wish that it wasn't so hard for services like this to exist in our industry.

Canadian company out of Toronto, Ontario. Not working here... looks like judgement day for tricerasoft. Good news is Sunfly is now available to the US market as Legal downloads although still limited with song selection.

Seems only fair since there's a Canadian (also from Ontario) trying to undermine American karaoke companies. There's a word for that kind of even exchange. I can't think of it. It's on the tip of my tongue. KNF, help me out here...

Bootlegger, cuz thats the word i think of... i think tricerasoft makes anything and everything available as downloadable product till they get told not too.
I contact manufacturers directly and make a one price package deal for complete libraries. Many offer @ 50-75 cents per track.
If i did want to go with a trusted site, i would use karaoke.net

Sorry to see them go, and hopefully they will bounce back.
The software they made wasn't bad at all. I liked Just Karaoke 2.0 with the Server Request Tool for digital songbooks. Yeah it was a little dated, but still pretty functional.

That server request tool for Tricerasoft just karaoke was a little buggy.
A good alternative would be to check out KARAOKI software they also have a Remote request app KARAOQUEST that works very nice with Karaoki. There is a trial available on PCDJ website. the app is also free and connects directly to the Server feature within the software.
I had different views on that Tricerasoft Just Karaoke 2.0 software. Just didn't make the cut in testing the software. However their KaraokeNow (no key changer) and Karaoke Anywhere (includes key changer feature) Apps very pleasing.

I use the Server Request Tool as my KIOSK program and I don't run into any problems. In fact, my singers really like using the KIOSK. If I don't set it up, they are requesting for it!!

I was gonna take a look at that Tricerasoft service request tool kiosk but their website is no longer active. Does that mean they no longer support that software?

Does that mean they no longer support that software? Well being their site and all phones are no longer active i'd guess no. I actually did have the KIOSK and it worked well, this was a few years ago, except no one really wanted to use it back then so I took it out.

I think in today's age, using technology is more widely accepted than in the past. People tend to crave using apps more and more.

I do have the phone apps and online search of my books as well, but I just got the stats on my phone app today and it's not very widely used over the last year.

It was nice getting most of my songs from one place, instead of having to shop 6 different sites!! I MISS Tricerasoft, tremendously!!

Biggest problem I ever had with the Server tool was with how Karaoke Versions labels it's files. The straight numbers (123456) made them not show up in the request returns. I fixed that by adding a KV (KV123456) in front of the number. I never liked the app they released for it, as formatting had always been a problem (specially on newer android devices). Using the IP addresses works much better as the devices fix the HTML in the best way for themselves. I even 'hacked' the opening page a bit to add my business info The Server Tool work also worked as stand alone, but works BETTER inside the JK2.0 software. With SE4.0 I had to drag and drop requests, not really an issue, but I needed more screen space. It did work inside SE4.0, but it wouldn't set it up like it does in JK2.0, it would just give me requests as they came in. They never updated after 1.0, so either they thought it worked good enough, or lack of sales didn't warrant an update. I use 2 Xoom tablets as kiosks, they work great, and they are so old (device wise) there is no worry about theft. People are free to use the tablets, or to get on the system via their own device.
