I don't see it like that. Graphics on screen doesn't make it karaoke - it makes it what it is today, but the roots have always simply been instrumental version without the main singer, whether it is already pre-swiped on screen, on a printed piece of paper or pulled up from a lyric server on your phone, the end result is still the same, someone going to sing and fill the vocals.
