					| Yeah, a novelty song is like Purple People Eater, Convoy, Disco Duck, Weird Al songs, etc.  So I guess it's "humor" or weird songs that were hits.

					| It's songs that aren't 'typical' and are usually humorous in nature.
 Think many of the songs I usually sing....
 
 Convoy
 Weird 'Al' Songs
 Hot Rod Lincoln
 Ray Stevens Songs
 
 Basically, the sort of stuff you usually hear on Dr. Demento.  Hope that makes sense...
 
 One hit wonders are groups that only scored a single hit on the charts and then disappeared from sight...  Artist like Gloria Gaynor and Nena fit into this category.  It's usually based on the US charts and not overseas charts which is why even though Nena actually had a number of hits on the overseas charts but only a single hit with '99 Red Balloons' in the US she's usually put into this category.
