Suzanne (or anyone I guess) what "other place" are you talking about??  You mean another SS imposter out there??  :)  I've seen a couple of other of these kind of sites, but nothing that really compared to this one.  Just curious...

Man, if you are around you are very welcome; 'its an open house'  concept. Start after the 'Midnite xmas' mass end when the sun rise or when people get to drunk or too tired to dance.

The good part is people dance to karaoke music . You PAY to sing and the money collected goes to the church. Normally if you are a good singer other people will sponsor you to sing. Some good singer maybe sponsored for $50 upward to sing.
And ya, you get the bump up if there is more money money.
Me and a few others will Kj this gig.

I just have to crash this party! There's too many women in here and I just cant let that go by! Did someone say something about a party? Count me in! I am always up for a good party!  I dont have a lot of time to do karaoke even though there are a few places around here where a person can go and they do karaoke every night. I am usually busy with my band playing.  I drag out the backings to sub here in SS because it is so much fun and I have met so many wonderful people! Now where's the drinks? --Mike

Hi, Allison. In answers to your question...we aren't allowed to post URL's here, but the one I was referring to is Kant Stop Karaoke. It was started by a SS member and is pretty good, very friendly and easy to use. I haven't had time to use either site much lately, but I do like that one in some ways better than SS (cheaper and fewer rules).  There is room on the net for multiple similar sites, I guess

Hopefully my post won't be deleted...I don't think I broke any rules but .....

I wish I had time to post more.....anyone want to clone me?

I'm with you, KSK is a great site and people are very friendly & talented!  I love the fact that we can use a wma encoder, finally someone cares about this option

Dare to sing (dts) is also another good site and recently a new site appeared in Canada, it's call, MyKaraoke but it's not very active.

Nothing wrong with promoting other Karaoke sites, after all, it's a community

*I* have no trouble promoting other sites, and I agree that they are all karaoke etc. but there are rules here about not posting URL's and promoting other sites, and some posts have been deleted or changed, so obviously someone does feel strongly about it.  That's all I was saying

I think the URL thing is just because people were going over board with promoting their businesses. Just a hunch. I figured I'd just pm someone with a URL if felt the need. No harm done.

Thanks Suzanne...I was just wondering.  I know there are rules here about what you can and can't post...actually, there are so many that I'm not sure when I'm breaking them or if I'm breaking them.  I figure someone would let me know if I was.  

Now back to that party....

We do. I haven't had much time lately, but the threads can be as interesting as the music. I will save my verbosity for a new thread I am putting up today. Adding my 3 cents.

I am still trying to figure out all the ins and outs here. It took me a while to figure out the forum shop thing. I've belonged to other forums before this is the 1st time I've run into a forum shop. This is an excellent forum friendly, helpful, not to big and not to small. If they are to big you don't get to know the regulars. If it's to small there is no one to talk to.  As you can tell I'm a talker  LOL
