Ok I am narrowing my choices down...
There is a little red head I met in one of the karaoke bars.. She is thin which usually turns me off But she is cute and a little lady who looks one in the eyes and doesnt hide anything.. She recently moved into my high rise and we put each others numbers in our cell phones I am afraid of her because I could fall for her big time..
Number 2: A short lil gal that has the body proportions that turn me on (short big butt) but emotional wise would be a taker and not a giver. She would give me the best sex for awile anyway. I think the first one is the best cook as far as meat
and potatoes the second more italian and exotic foods..
Ok I know that eveybody is going to say follow your heart but with a heart that has been broken many times it takes logic I think..

Not sure, I don't even recall typing that first quote in this post (regarding the "over 40 now....People our age don't do that anymore"), What a foolish thing for me to say, it's not even rational. I must've had a senior moment.

Try not to let your heart move faster than your head. Last thing you need is emotional anquish. Good luck ! I hope thing's work out well for you Karyoker. You deserve a nice woman. Get to know her first, one never know's what skeleton's a person has in their closet.. A women that look's you in the eye's might be VERY VERY dangerous ! be careful. One of the classic signs of mental illness ! Careful regarding the "taker's" however....You want a nice girl...not like Keith's of course, Keith goes for the wild and nasty types... Rumor has it, they even "Do it". He goes for those dangerous ones, NEVER turn your back to one of "those" types !!!!

Karyoker, I suppose most of us are here for a similar reason. We share a common area of interest, for some it's exchanging knowledge, yet for many this is just a social club, one of many..There're LOADS of people here, some we have fun with, other's we have no use for in our lives...Like any club...I come here to escape from my head...( ..I know, hard to believe but you don't know the crap that goes on in my real life), this is just recess for me, A place I just "hang" while my mind and finger's are out to lunch. Usually multitasking anyway, downloading stuff on another system while I'm here...Some folks like TV...Some like to read.... When I get lonely, I yack in forums... For some of us, it's really more of a social event. I'm here because there are musician's here.. ALOT of talent in SS... It's why I came here to begin with.. I've worked with vocalists ALOT of my life...backed them, etc...I feel comfortable in musical venues.
You've helped MANY people with your technical Skill Karyoker..Your experience isn't taken for granted.. You've certainly helped me a hell of a lot... None of us will get rich and famous hanging in places like this.. Yet when you need to get out've your head, these forum's can become a great escape from real life issues.... Plus I get to meet some pretty talented people. There are other places I suppose.. Some that offer more interesting challenges for the more technical person... Yet in the tech boards, and specific audio boards, you also don't get such a diverse batch of critter's that enables you to have such broad ranges of conversations with both genders, ALL generations, and all geographic locations, quite a diverse group in terms of life experience, ability, etc.. The discussion forum is like a chat room for us, in strict topic bboards, people don't chat like we are now, or clown around like we can here..... For us, this is a social place. A comfort zone I suppose. That's really why some of us are here...SImilar hobby, interest, etc
So enjoy the relationship, Yet if it's anything like the one I got out've around 2001 (after 11 long years), even when thing's were going well, I'd still sneak out've the room when she fell asleep; I hate just laying around, if I'm awake I need to be doing something, or yacking...not just laying there pretending I'm tired and content staring into the dark.... I'd sneak out've the bedroom and start gabbing online.. Probably not the most romantic thing to do.... Yet as a hopeless romantic, SCREW romance ~

Many people live their lives with their heads in the sand Karyoker. It doesn't work well for me personally, yet I suppose it's not illegal either.. and of course I also do my share of rationalizing, deluding myself, and not really having a clue what's what..Seem's people have enough smart's to get by doing whatever they must, yet many don't look beyond their own nose.
Time for me to crash Karyoker, I've been up since tuesday morning. I made sure I'd get some sleep tonight. Had two options.... Exercize or take an Ativan.. I did what any self respecting old fart would do.... Popped the pill

Okay, I'm a lurker...I read all the threads both for intellectual stimulation and for the social aspect. However, for some reason, this thread, which started out light-hearted, has ended with...at least in my opinion...a slam.
Karyoker, I find both you and Steve present yourselves as highly intelligent individuals and I enjoy reading your posts. But to assume that “nobody knows what we talkin about” is most condescending. To me it says, “We’re smarter than everyone else.” You do a disservice to the other members. When you make such statements as, “…vague questions deserve a vague answer…” you are again saying you’re superior. Most of the threads that I have seen have been from newcomers to the karaoke world. Did you ever think they did not know enough (and I include myself in this category) to ask the “right” questions? We rely on your “expertise.” You base your responses on products you feel are, in your opinion, best in their field. Someone else may have had a bad experience with your selection and tout the product from another manufacturer. This is personal opinion and personal opinion is what makes the world go ‘round.
In another thread you said, “This is an indication that people are afraid to resond to a thread of this nature Does this scrae the hell out of you? It does me... .” Again, in my opinion, this is a slam. There are those of us who choose not to respond because this IS a Discussion Forum on a karaoke site. The qualifier below the heading states, “This is the place to talk about almost anything. BECOME A MEMBER & JOIN THE FUN!” I guess the “JOIN THE FUN” means something different to everyone. I come to sites such as this to escape from the arduous and exhausting task of daily living. I enjoy the camaraderie among the members here. I even welcome the occasional contention regarding such things as which program is better for making song books; which mic is the best and how the rotation should be handled. In contrast to abortion and religion, song book programs, mics and rotation are quite light-hearted.
I ask that this is not perceived as a flame, but merely as a response from a lurker who knows what you are talking about, asks vague questions and is not afraid to respond, just chooses not to. That said, I still value your responses/opinions and will continue to read and enjoy your posts! (And, to everyone’s relief, continue to lurk! LOL)

....this whole karaoke discussion forum has turned into the Dr. Phil forum lately. What's up with that?
Just kidding......I say go for #1, sounds like a better long-term bet.

Karyoker,
My husband and I were not looking for anyone when we found each other. I am Tall and slender and white and he had always preferred exotic looking, short plump(not fat) women....
We became best friends and once we really knew each other well we both decided "Hey you are attractive" And we turned our relationship into a romantic relationship....We both see something inside each other that makes us attractive from the inside out and we wouldn't want to ever be with anyone else with different physical features..
Sometimes I wonder if we had not only looked at the outer features of people that maybe we would have made different choices in our earlier years before we met...
But we did learn,,,,We both believe this: Once the looks are gone and the sex is gone, you have to really like the person you are with, cause you will be entertaining each other for a very long time.... And us, we will be sitting on our fronch porch when we are retired, trying to remember how to play checkers and making fun of the people driving by........
Good luck. Don't know if this helped or not but this is what happend to me....

My ex is still one of my best buddies... We just grew apart and cant live with each other. But the last 20 yrs or so my best friends and confidants have been women. With women it is easy to get on a spiritual high, they know how to talk and if I am having relationship problems I've got 2 or 3 gals that will tell me up from down...
I have one friend who I introduced to another buddy of mine who is a psychic and a wicca.. She studied and worked hard now she is a wicca very spiritual and is one of the most complete woman that I have ever known...
Melly you know my number one weakness is short gals with big butts... I'm the only one around who can sing Baby Got Back better than the black guys and they admit it and laugh...
