I keep thinking since I've told alot of regulars at this place that I'm from out of town and married, if I engage myself in anything fun, I'd be known as a low-life, not that I have so much character now that it would be seriously degraded.
Not to mention that I do pretend to love my wife....did I say pretend?

Sounds to me as if as if your treading in deep water JK! As long as your "ship" docks where it's supposed to be, then enjoy the journey my friend

This happened to you in the past??? Hope the nads are ok and the voice isn't shaky anymore!!!
I like to practice safe singing myself...I've been told I should where a fully body cond&% and it would improve my performance. I really try that soon, since I am always looking to improve my performance.
LOL

A full body one?....this sounds like a very practical idea.....I am getting up in years, and maybe, one of the ribbed variety would also give me some extra support.....I get tired of standing for 3 to 4 minutes.....that's why I sing oldies, they are usually short..........thanks for the tip.....you foxy American girl......jj

First off you said tip LMAO
And I never thought about the whole ribbed thing. That would provide some much needed support for some in areas where it was needed.
You keep going Johnny....You are a riot!!!!
Have you sub'd any songs yet???

I wouldn't have even suspected they have that song out as a karaoke backing. I LOVE that song (and most of the rest of the songs on the 'lost boys' soundtrack). What a great song!! I used to listen to that soundtrack over & over and I STILL love it.

(OK, so an on-topic update...trying to keep this thread alive, plus things have changed for me lately...)
I still don't sing in HOPES of picking somebody up...it's just the way it's been working recently. Saturday night, I thought I was going to get broken in two for a sec...a young lady...who had been flirting with me...had a GIGANTIC boyfriend!!
But aside from the fact that (ideally) all the attention is coming my way when I'm singing on stage, just the simple act of getting up there and singing as much as I have in the last few months has helped boost my confidence level to a point where I've got a chance (and had some success!!) in the pickup department.
Do I think I'll meet the next future ex-Mrs.-Squid in a karaoke bar? Possible, but unlikely. I'm just having fun for right now.

Nobody put baby...err...umm Isis in the corner....
Yes that is me....Just a wild child that has to exile herself to the dark corners so I can lurk around and hopefully not be noticed.....

If it's a curse to be a good-looking, funny, charming people-person, then what is a blessing?
