Isis @ Wed 08 Mar, 2006 wrote: What a nice looking couple you two are... Is that your backyard? Who put in that garden behind you? I like it!! Yeah, backyard. It's one of those "dig a little hole and drop in a Walmart pond thingies".
The fountain is nice to listen to on a late hot summer night while hanging out having a few drinks etc... I just bordered it off with the edging along the fence and installed the lights and marble rock...not that big a deal, but it made things a little cozier. I over-fertilized my grass that year, and we had a bit of a drought too, so my grass turned yellow.
We cook out alot in the summer, so the backyard is our most lived in area it seems. Even though we live in the city still, the serenity back there can be quite relaxing....watching the moon come up from the east...the stars...torches lit...the overall ambience.
Then I wake up and realize...D*mn!! Why didn't I follow my instincts and move to the country!?!? :( :newlol:

Actually, I don't have much time for the car stuff anymore...that's why my car I was working on is still not finished! These pics are a couple years old!
She's not into the car thing, but she's also not into having more babies!!
She took care of that years ago.
Life begins at 40 I guess.

I personally can't wait for that to happen...Love my kids but golly gee....I am so ready to just be a couple again with the hubby.....
I know what you mean about being inthe city and having the backyard sanctuary... I have one too and it is great until the fire trucks go out on a call and the sirens go off and make me have to run in to the bathroom!!!

Hmmmmm? We do have Dallas Ct., Houston Ave., Austin St., and El Paso Dr.....as well as, Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn Steak Houses?
I've been to Texas once on my job. I went to the town of Lone Oak just east of Dallas. I liked it. I guess because it seemed so different from where I'm from. I was riding and driving in a big-rig with a couple of drivers who team from Texas to Indy all week long. I was just training to drive a big-rig then. This town was like...if you turned your head, you'd miss it.

Is the Little Bit of Texas nightclub still operating up there? (most of my memories of that area are going on 10 years old, even though I lived there for 16 years) I know the place at the top of Circle Centre where I used to work is gone!!

I just love the Texas Roadhouse...Do they have "roadkill" on the menu there???
Heck it sounds like you live in Texas already with all that. Only it prolly isn't as flat in your section of Texas..
LoneOak is pretty small. I believe it has grown a bit in the past couple of years.

Sorry, had to run down the road and grab dinner for my starving 13 year old.

I think they changed the name of that place to the "8 Second Saloon" ? I've never been there before, but I know exactly where it's at.

I've never been to the Texas Roadhouse before, but my wife has. I need to get out more.
Lone Oak is where a transfer point is for my company. We have many different transfer points east to west with drivers who live in the Lone Oak area...upstate New York...Maryland...etc...
I know I had the best biscuits and gravy for breakfast at a little country store/cafe on the main road that runs through Lone Oak. :yum:

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention...(did I just say that?) :banghead: My wife's brother and family lives in Austin. We should visit them sometime, but I never take a vacation...I've had 1 real week off in 8 years.
But working only 4 days a week, I've always bought back my vacations for an extra paycheck. Maybe someday money won't matter and I can enjoy life more. :dontknow:
