I know someone who lives in Manhatten and she told me a couple of years ago that it cost her 800.00 a month just for a parking space for her car that she very rarely drives,,

Just saw this post for the first time Sharon.  I'd be curious in finding out what that $800 get's her in NYC.  What type accomodations ?  How secure is the car ?... Is it possibly inside someplace ?   or just a fenced-in area ?

Yeah Billy.  Now that spring is here,  and the weather's really nice,  I've started jogging again.... If you hear about an earthquake on the CT river basin (huge fault-line) you'll know why.. LOL

Long Winter up here... Have you folks been getting alot of heat lately ?  Like over 100 ?   I thought I saw a few weather maps that listed your area getting rediculous heat lately...

Nah,  Once they hear you sing,   they'll hope you stick around... Too bad you don't have the time, and luxury of doing the band thing anymore... Yet it's a luxury for sure....Not something we can do indefineately..

Jeanne,  Go into your "Member Area", open "User control Panel",  from there go into your "Profile Setting",  In the box you enter your tag lines, just set the scroll function

[ enter word *scroll* between these brackets ] content you wish to scroll  [/scroll]

I'm sure they must miss you.  You're a gifted vocalist.  Not many can do all that you can do..I doubt they have found, (or will find) someone with your abilities and talent. Yet you need to take care of those vocal chords too.... Last thing you want is to really hurt yourself... You put alot of strain on those chords... Go find your falsetto again,  That likely means the most to you at this point... (Besides me being your fine-a$$%d (@$%&#!) of course)

ADDED IN:

I'm still going to see if I can find out ANYONE down in your area that does work with singer's in that area Billy... My guess is one of the larger schools MUST have something closer than Nebraska, or a huge University...There's got to be someone you can consult with regarding a few things...See if and how range can be re-established in various cases.  There've got to be ways a person can at least work towards building back something of a falsetto area...

I still need to order the M-audio piano action controller Billy..  If I was any lazier than I've been this winter I'd be on a produce shelf someplace with "Dole" stamped on my butt... I don't mean the politician either..

Damn,  that was a really sick analogy,  I'm going to sleep... take care..  I'm a disgusting thing... aint I ?

I personally work on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.  (I run the show with my fiance') That may change soon, but for sure I will be working Friday and Saturday nights.  May swap out one of the other days for Thursday...not sure yet.  I had a nice discussion with my boss last night, and it looks like I am staying where I am at for a while.   :O

Usually Friday and Saturday nights are super busy... Like 40 to 60 singers.  Tuedays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays are good nights for singers to get some stage time in... Although every other Thursday we get a crowd of the military people because they have a compressed work schedule at Keesler, and get every other Friday off.

We are kicking off new hours (instituted by me) this week...  They are closed on Monday nights, but Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday the Karaoke runs from 8PM - 1AM.   On Friday and Saturday nights we go from 9PM-2AM.   We are also having a Karaoke Contest starting April 11th Thru May 10th.  We are going to have qualifying rounds on Tuesday and Wednesdays where 2 people will be chosen each night to make it to the final contest at the end.  $400 in cash and prizes are up for grabs...

As for the system... The Club owns their own equipment which they just upgraded to all new stuff...Behringer UB1832FX Pro Eurorack 18 Input mixer with effects, three Samson R21 mics, Behringer EP2500 Power Amp,  a JVC 6 disk CDG player with a very modest 2500 songs.   On the nights that I work, I add my laptop with 15,000 or so songs on an external drive as well as a Behringer 15" powered 300W Monitor.

I also have a complete rig of my own including a Yamaha MG 16FX/6 Mixer with effects, Behringer EP2500 power amp, DBX 266XL compressor, 6 Samson R21 Mics,
JBL MPRO 15" Speakers, Behringer 18" subwoofers, the Behringer powered monitor, and of course my laptop and song catalog.

You should come check us out some time...

Sorry to chime in late. Manhattan is a high rent zone these days, Even upper manh areas are high.

I'd be looking around the bronx area around montefiore hospital, Tremont ,Jerome, Or the concourse.
