Well I try to stay away when I'm in a bad/sad mood...such as yesterday after I went to my friends' 18 year old son's funeral...sheesh...I wasn't fit to be shot much less let my blahs spill over into everyone else's lives...

But here I am today trying to catch up and it is really improving my mood...I also subbed a song....singing always helps me cheer up too...I dunno about the folks who LISTEN to me....

So when is it time to quit posting.....NEVER!!!!!  Unless it is getting in the way of your everyday life I say post on....it's nice to be able to come in here and blow off a little steam and act silly.....ok so I'm not acting.....but that's not the point  LOL

We can still be *US* without divulging too much that's depressing for most to read, or too personal for such a bboard, or too specific for many to approve of subject matter, understand, or even care to understand and want to see in such a forum.
What I do like about America Online, is the because of it's enormity, when I lost pet
s and was suffering, it had moderated topic rooms even for that.  It has great support venues for just about every physical, and mental prob a person can imagine that remain quite invisible to the outside world (usually that is, of course there are NEVER any guarantee's when we display something online)... Yet there ARE appropriate places for almost every aspect of our lives, including our nutty fetishes (assuming any of YOU have those of course , How would I know ?  This is only third-hand knowledge).. I guess like all we invest, you never invest too much in one place,  it's best to diversify..  Even though this is a general discussion area, it's understood that general meaning not to stray TOO many generations from the theme of people singing.. and nothing usually too outrageously different, or even political.... This upsets some... WHile I enjoy it much of the time,  many do not... Similarly, I've found myself on the "outside' of certain threads

Karaoke Scene bboards are deliberately high visibility areas, with the goal of hoping to attract new members to join the fun in here. What we say is anything but private in here.. If you have a Screen Name you use elsewhere on the internet, depending on how uncommon your name is, feeding your screen name into a KEYWORD search, will reveal your content in here. This is not secretive, however since there are so many new members joining at such a fast rate, many do not know this. It's a good thing to be aware of IMO...

I've been fighting the urge.....to post, and to sub songs.....I think the addiction stems from all the attention you can recieve from the sweet people on SS......most of them are great listeners, and their comments are almost always positive.....they are Uppers..............been a little busy too........take care

I don't know if you can post too much ... 'cause I think what some find too much .. others find completely fine.  Can you reveal too much about yourself.. yea, maybe... but will it really come back to "haunt" you .... not too sure about  that part.... unless you are confessing to an unsolved mystery or crime....  

I think forums like this are here for exactly the reasons we use them.  To find "friendship" when it is often hard to do so in other ways ... to be able to discuss issues with people who have no biases or preconceived beliefs or feelings about you .. and to gather wisdom from those that have knowledge, skills or experiences that you either have not had ....... or maybe you are currently entering in to for the first time in your life.  

I found this place by accident ... I did a search for a song ... and, as Steve pointed out .... a person's SS screen name came up....  Singers Showcase, Jazzybaggs.  YUP... that is how I found this place.  I had NO idea such a place existed.  And.... I spent several months just listening and reading... before I even joined.  I joined, and quickly got involved in the SS and here in the forums.  I was recouping from a surgery ... and was pretty homebound at that point.. so it was wonderful to be with PEOPLE. And, the singing was fun ... and the forums were full of wonderful people, topics ... and this place gave me something to fill my time that I truly got to enjoy.  And.. from those forum topics.. I found some of the sweetest people ... who I now call "friends" ... email or IM or PM with from time to time... and truly like.  

I go thru spurts where I have time to be here .... and times where I am just very busy with all the other things I do and enjoy in life.  

My feelings are .. you make a place like this whatever you want it to be.. given whatever phase of life you are going thru.  So... can someone post too much ... prolly not.  If they are posting a lot... then they obviously need something to do .... for whatever reason .. and have chosen "this" as the thing to do.  

Speaking of needing to do things... I must be getting my day rolling.  Take care all .. and .. HAPPY POSTING!!
