Then there was the different hair styles of Florence Henderson.  She started out very conservative and then towards the end had that sassy flip in the back thing.  LOL

Who was your fave TV Mom?  Mine was Mrs. C...you know on Happy Days.  She was a hoot...and always "frisky", lol.

I wanted that hairstyle!!! My mom let me have my wish and cut my hair in that long shag when I was 13.  Wish I still had pics of it.   LOL

I was trying to imagine having Maude as a mother.  Then my head started hurting.

The best father on television was either Robert Young in "Father knows best, Michael Landon in "Little House on the Prairie", Ward Cleaver or maybe Homer Simpson (Doh!)

I would have liked to see June Cleaver say, "Ward, the Beaver needs a good licking!"

but i really think peter griffin is the best dad.  i mean, he's the real idiot we see our dads for!

seriously fred macmurray from my three sons was the best dad.  c'mon!  a single dad raising three boys AND dealing with uncle charlie?  it's a wonder he didn't go on a shooting rampage!

 really hard to not put in a Robert Reed AIDS joke.

Is 20 yrs ago considered Old School that would be Homer Simpson, but before that I've got to go with Archie Bunker or Fred G Sanford.

Chuck Conners, sure  he was a little uptight. At least you knew where he was coming from.

Wow. Chuck Conners. Great one. He really did have a great relationship with his son in that one. You may be on to the best sleeper answer there is. He may have been right up there. I would still take Michael Landon though. He was Mr Wonderful in that show. Maybe not the most real Dad but maybe the ideal.

George Reeves. When he played superman his character had no children but he treated all of the supporting characters like kids.

I agree with Brian Keith. I mean Rich. Well, you know what I mean. I'm not very mean at all.
